York City v Torquay United, Saturday 8th October, 2022
Hi all,
Welcome to Yorkshire!
A visit to a flashy new stadium which is a bit out of the way of the city centre, which is a shame......
Looking forward to this more in trepidation than expectation.
York going well, spanked Barnet last week and now we visit them.....
Hopefully a result like Halifax and not Wrexham....
Looking forward to seeing all the Yorkshire and travelling Gulls from wherever you come from....
off to the Red Lion in Knapton pre-match if anyone fancies a pint.
Up the Gulls.

I had pencilled this game in as a must go to ,when the fixtures were released, however with the crap form we are in I am not prepared to waste my money like many others.
Does anyone think this will be anything but another defeat? Unless I’ve missed it there hasn’t been a word from the club acknowledging our problems or what plan there is to improve anything.

Yes of course - as a Torquay supporter you have to believe we can win.
Years have taught us to always be 100% optimistic.
If we lose - take 10 mins to get over it, then start being optimistic about the next match.

I must have missed something so bear with me but Da Silva??? Where has he come from?Admiral wrote: 07 Oct 2022, 20:15 We will win 2-0, and play excellently.
Jarvis and Da Silva with the goals.

Brilliant statement albeit over the years I have adapted to just taking 5 minutes to get over itGull in black wrote: 07 Oct 2022, 19:50 Yes of course - as a Torquay supporter you have to believe we can win.

I guess we could not match Arsenel's £70,000 per week salary for Bukayo Saka so opted instead for QPR's u23 Dillon De Silva on £500 per week
On the plus side York defenders Ryan Fallowfield and Fraser Kerr are facing late fitness tests ahead of our clash with York City's having both come off injured in Tuesday night's 1-0 defeat at FC Halifax Town.

De Silva on for Martin after 19 mins. I swear Torquay get more than their fair share of early injuries…

This is beginning to feel like the Roberts/Kubik era
And another defeat. we are now becoming adrift with no sign of a change. When are the club going to act.
Hate to say it but the manager has to go what do we have to lose at this point a new person with new ideas is desperately needed before the hole we dug ourselves gets any deeper.
