Well at last!! May not be everyone's choice, but he has always turned in a professional performance and will bring in some stability to the back line. He must start, no good sitting on the bench and bringing him on when we are 2 or 3 goals down.

Glad that Gary has responded to the fans comments of late

A welcome addition for a month, hopefully longer.
The experience in central defence that we so
Desperately need 👏👏

 And who is this Ness? Is that Elliott Ness, he will be ok in a shoot out.

Thompson on the bench.

Did they have an open day, signing players this week. Probably supporters buying Cup tickets, asked to play on Saturday. Smavks of desperation but let us hope it works out.

Desperation?

With 6 injured, 4 are long term, and 2 suspended without additions we would have 2 on the bench.

I do not call that desperation I call it "out of necessity" Think about it!

Why does everywhere state Mark Ellis is 35 ? As far as I can see he has just turned 34. Certainly an improvement on what we have - 400 games at mostly League One and Two level , should improve the defence and be a threat in the opposition box. I suspect he only has a month deal to start because of his wages, if he does well, Osborne needs to cough up to keep him.

Brilliant game by Ellis.

Please please make him a season loan or even better a permanent signing.

Couldn’t agree more . He was so solid back there and oozed composure/experience.

Please try to make this a permanent move, even pay a transfer fee if needed. A good investment for this and next season. Plus he can then relocate his family to South Hams.

Plus a season loan for Ness too.

Then we can finally forget and leave Marshall and Omar on the bench or even better loan them out to lower league clubs.

His family are up north so there is going to be no chance of signing him permanently - in fact there seems to be some doubt that we can even extend his loan.

I believe his partner/wife is from Bolton and is the reason he has played so much in the north.

He comes from Kingsbridge and his Dad use to live in Heathfield, so sticking block could be the Mrs!

Dad has been to last two home matches. I agree, he is just what we need.
