OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS !

Post by Dave_Pougher »

Thought I'd start some posative stuff in a week where perhaps things aren't as posative as they should be.

Here we are at another end of season club precipice, (we really can't complain about our share of those can we?) Just how
DID we get here? Early season form? Hard work? Oustanding idividual results? (Namely Shrewsbury) Or how about individual
players? I really can't think of anyone having a complete mare in any match at all this season.

Bevan, Branston, Robertson, Ellis, Mansell, O'Kane, Zebroski, Nicholson Robinson, Tomlin, Kee. Everyone I feel has given it "their all" this season. WHAT an opportunity they now have to impress. Not just at TQ1 but anyone who will now look at any of these players will remember, if they are successfull, that they where part of THAT team that did so well against the odds.

What a marvellous time and what marvellous opportunity for OUR club.

Then there are the negative b*stards who fail to applaud the clapohmeter. They are known as the "opportunity knockers" and a couple of big tits they are. ;-)

MASSIVE MASSIVE day for all concerned, gutted I'm not going to be there. Just realised about that other little game kicking off at 3pm so that the atmos in boots and laces should be great.

If the other P/O games are anything to go by then will shall probably be non the wiser after the final whistle but hey this is Torquay.

COME ON YOU YELLOWS !!!

Respect to all those travelling tomorrow, I know that many of you will be leaving early so please have a safe trip. Really wish I could be there with you but I promise that whenever the yellow army chant it is heard on the TV then it will be ringing round the pub that I'm in. (Do hope I don't get chucked out)

It is, without doubt, one of those mathces that will be remembered for a very long time regardless of the outcome.

Like I said respect to you, have a great time and a safe journey.

And I mean that sincerely folks! (said with a rhye smile and slight squint)
