Torquay Utd v Welling Utd 21/10/2023 15:00
so here we are another week and still no signings, other clubs in our league are doing business, yeovil getting cox is a real sign of how they are going for it and a great addition.
its looking very bleak indeed as we approach another home game with no news, no loans again and no end in sight

"Loans are cheaper than permanent deals, but often riskier too, and Johnson – his brother Peter is the club’s Head of Recruitment - has made it clear in recent weeks that he’s been reluctant to make short-term signings to get over short-term issues"
good god!!!! the short term issues are causing long term issues, get players in now before it becomes a huge issue

don't have any real faith but have to hope that there's a performance in the squad somewhere.

I've personally referred to some games that should be default wins, no Welling should take offence here, however with only 2 wins so far, and current form worse than our own, 3 draws and 2 defeats from their last 5 games coming to Plainmoor you have to fancy us to win this one.

A game we should win
Maybe for the first time this season we will play well in both halves
i'm sure if we win the deluded will be out baying for a fist pump

Anyone thinking this will be an easy win must be mad. Narrowly beaten in the cup last week to a team a division higher I#m sure this wont be easy.

Got to agree with Brucie on this subject, I saw the Borehamwood Vs Welling highlights and Welling looked decent, on another day they could of won, I think they'll try and remain in the game, and look to build into it, if it's 0-0 after 70mins I'll be concerned, I still think we'll win and I stand by my prediction, but it definitely won't be easy at all.
I like to think we wont have conceded after 70 minutes but I'll be surprised
