Taunton Postponed?
Taunton’s FA Trophy match at Welling tomorrow has been postponed.
Competition rules say postponed games have to be played by the following Thursday.
As we found with Weymouth, cups take priority in this league.
So looks as if our game at Taunton may be postponed.

Bloody Trophy. Sounds nailed on but real shame if it is as was looking forward to it. I guess from a footballing perspective playing later in the season is no bad thing though!

Agree with the comments there is no logic that a micky mouse cup should take priority but as a positive it will be another week for our ill and injured to make a further step to recovery unless johnson manages to crock more in training.
Gutted, took a night off work for this one. Now I've used one of my precious holiday for a cold, wet Tuesday in November

Any idea when it may be re-arranged or when we're likely to know?
I'd bought train tickets which are non-refundable but i am able to change the date/time which i'd obviously need to do before Tuesday evening...any chance we'll know by Monday/Tuesday do we think?

Phone the club on Monday
Taunton are the home club, I would suggest ringing them as its thier responsibility rather than TUFC.

Thanks all. Will try Taunton on Monday...looking at fixtures, the next Tuesday when both clubs don't have a fixture scheduled is 19th December so reckon that will perhaps be the date if i had to guess!?
Think you can change your train tickets then change them to another date again when you know the actual date.

They already have 1 game that needs rearranging. Truro away postponed as they had a Somerset Premier Cup 2nd round to play.markypoos77 wrote: 19 Nov 2023, 15:45 Thanks all. The the first date available to them to rearrange that game.
So won't be this date.

Plus it's a week before Christmas I suspect most of their players and staff will be busy earning money from overtime from their jobs.
So they will vote to keep that date free anyway.

Good call, new date officially confirmed as Tuesday 19th December.markypoos77 wrote: 19 Nov 2023, 15:45 Thanks all. Fair play to Taunton - the Chairman actually called me back on Monday and said it would likely be the 19th December but needed to be OK'd by the League at the time...
However, a bit cheesed off by it all, can't get a refund on train tickets from Cardiff, amending the date means an extra £40 as £10 admin fee per ticket plus the difference of a new ticket, which I just can't justify to be honest at this time of year. Coupled with the fact that i guess theres a fair chance it may be postponed again as a grass pitch if a wet December. Once again the football bigwigs not giving any consideration to fans.
