Questions.

Post by SantaCruzScotty »

Does anyone know how much trams cost?
What tram do i get?
how to get to the pub (After i find out what one we are actauly going to)
My last coach is 7:15 when is the last tram back to sudehill and is there one that will get me there 6:45?

I tried looking for trams, but it make no sence out of me. Also, with the pub many names have been mentioned so i'm also confused about it.

No idea where Sudehill is, but the tram – also referred to as the Metro system is brilliant. I m not sure how far you need to go, so can t tell you the exact price, but as an example, a return to the ground from the city centre probably costs about £2.50, and there are (I think) two separate lines that head in that direction – Altrincham and Eccles. They run pretty regularly, probably 15 minute intervals. But they aren t massive so imagine the queues will be pretty large.

Tell me if i'm wrong but are you referring to Shudehill?

We are to get the Eccles service and get off anywhere really around Salford quays or just before (I think the stop after pomona is best)

I would imagine most of your questions can be answered here. Doesn't take a degree to get around this site...

the main allocated pub is the Samuel Platts, 5mins walk from OT, and at the moment, seems to be the "agreed" destination for us. that's where i'll be heading unless things change in the next few days. looks a good, big pub, totally geared up for football crowds, and recommended by some manc supporters i know who use it on match days.

I know a fair few on the fans bus's are planning on going to the trafford too. Which i would guess many would then follow them to there i would have thought.

But still got a few days yet it wouldnt suprise me if pubs chop and change and we just turn up and hope for the best on saturday

i haven't seen a list of designated pubs/bars etc for stevenage, but the trafford is definitely not on our list. the police have asked us to use pubs in the quays/trafford road area, and have asked boro to use the stretford and chester road area - which incorporates the trafford pub. from experience, i know they are very strict about keeping supporters apart in the pubs and bars up there, more understandable for man utd games i know, but i'm guessing the same rules will be in place for us on saturday.

Could have made it much easier for themselves by allocating each set of fans the pubs at the end of the ground they'd be using!
