Fifteen 'Cup Finals'
In at least 15 of the last 25 years Torquay have ended the season with a crucial match that could be called a cup final :
Play Off Finals
Swansea – Plainmoor
Blackpool – Wembley
Colchester – Wembley
Cambridge – Wembley
Stevenage – Old Trafford
Play Off Semi Finals
Preston – away
Exeter – Plainmoor
Cup Finals
Bolton – Wembley
Ebbsfleet – Wembley (OK not the last match of season)
Promotion
Southend – away
Relegation
Crewe – Plainmoor
Orient – away
Barnet – away
Boston – home
Colchester – away
Does any other team at this level have such a record I wonder?
I ve been to 12 of these (including Sunday) - (I missed Preston, Swansea & Orient).
Has anyone here been to all 15?

I agree - favourites were Southend & Blackpool. The results we wanted without the stress of a relegation decider.robbotufc wrote:including saturday it will be 14 for me and missing only the preston away match, still one of my favourites was southend away![]()

I've only actually been in the ground for 5 including tomorrow, stood outside Barnet cos they couldn't count, and saw another 2 on telly. Only completely missed 1 that's happened since I've been a fan, though in the case of Boston I think I was already resigned to relelgation.

Actually, i counted Barnet as having 'been to' - but i too was stood in the field behind the away end. So down to 10 for me!Bigman wrote:I've only actually been in the ground for 5 including tomorrow, stood outside Barnet cos they couldn't count, and saw another 2 on telly. Only 6 for me, but not a bad effort considering I live in Northumberland and was out of the country at a dying man's bedside for one of them!

Northumberland Gulls, we drive south to all the games!
Were we not down long before the Boston game? It certainly felt like it...
