Torquay United 4 v 3 Truro... home win, if the game goes head
TUFC 1 TRURO 1
No team has looked like grabbing the league by the short & curlies this season in fairness, consequently the table remains really tight.North Curry House wrote: 29 Dec 2024, 14:23 Match with Truro only three days away and have not seen a posting about this crucial game.
I hope everyone enjoyed a fantastic Christmas and wish you all a healthy new year AND promotion by the end of April.
Despite on a decent unbeaten run, I do not think we have played anywhere near the standard, you would normally expect a top side to perform. We have rode our luck at times......that coupled with Truro having their number nine available (injured for our Trophy win), I predict;
Torquay 1 Truro 2
Attnd 4238 (143 away).
I hope I proved wrong.
COYY.
With the top seven or eight punching out the same kind of results it won't take much of a run of great form to put down a real marker in Jan/Feb for someone.
From a Worthing POV I'm hoping for an energy sapping draw in your game. Points lost to both of you and added fatigue ahead of the Trophy game... if it happens
All respectful rivalries aside, have a happy new year Gulls

Conditions will be a factor.
Latest forecast is slightly more promising with wind speeds not quite as high and dropping early afternoon.

I was nervous before the weston game but in reality we took them to the cleaners, then against weymouth we made youth team mistakes so it all depends on what team turns up against truro, I will still be confident and go 2-1 us.

Good news it's come down and it has further since your screenshotAdmiral wrote: 30 Dec 2024, 07:44 IMG_5211.jpeg
70mph gusts will cause travel problems, it may be best to push kick off back until 5pm given how quickly winds are due to drop.
Hopefully remains a yellow warning
Every Torquay season/game should come with a Yellow Warning….and possibly a health warning for the older souls…
A tough one to predict so I'm going for a draw.

My original thoughts were; win at Weymouth then draw with Truro.
Now the pressure is on to get a win, although whatever the result I can see us slipping to 3rd or 4th whilst we are playing in the trophy.
I will stay with a draw; 1-1.
coyy.
