Worthing F C V Torquay United Sat 4th Jan 2025 3pm KO

I get the impression Mo Faal was still cross about that perfectly legitimate goal he scored at Plainmoor that was given offside by the lino who should've gone to Specsavers . He had a shoot on sight policy today I wish we could see more of. Van Basten, eat yer heart out
Your goal was a great hit but was our fault. Wasn't a foul in the first place but we were dead in line with it and our wall wasn't remotely covering the near post. Your lad must've thought it was Christmas again.
I suspect the outcome suits all parties, you certainly didn't seem that interested in the Trophy, and we've never got this far before.
We do it all again next month, I doubt it'll play out like this did because we haven't looked that good all season.
Good luck for the rest of the season, apart from that game obviously... and possibly our fourth game in the play-offs

As you can tell from the lack of responses no-one is particularly bothered by our exit. Think a 2-1 defeat and reasonable performance would have been more acceptable because nobody likes getting thrashed.
It's quite annoying how every team raises their game against us and says it's the best they've played for ages !
Only 7 of the team that started v Truro started yesterday. Worthing were obviously more up for it
and everything went their way, I mean the 'Van Basten'
goal was an absolute fluke.

Well, on the plus side, at least we drew the 2nd half 1-1....

That is very true, also we were playing in the dreaded away strip, just saying.SuperNickyWroe wrote: 05 Jan 2025, 12:53 Well, on the plus side, at least we drew the 2nd half 1-1....

I already made my point that I would not be displeased to lose this match in order to focus on the league title. The drubbing Worthing gave us should only help that focus. I'm sure the players are going to get an ass whooping for that display and no doubt Welling will be worried that Sat will see the yellows come out with all guns blazing. The one disappointment in all of this is the travelling support suffering.

Thank you for putting me right, but it still wasnt the first strip, as worthing played in red I do not see why we couldnt have played in our usual colours.UnitedinDevon wrote: 05 Jan 2025, 17:57 We played in the white 3rd investor kit not the pink away one

I think I read somewhere, we have only won while wearing the yellow strip. Can anyone confirm.
As we have all seen no doubt, in the fourth round of the FA Cup Plymouth are playing Liverpool (top) and Exeter are playing Notts Forest (third). With each of them recieving in excess of half a million I would imagine, so a competition worth entering.
Sadly people are programmed to believe nonsense: the Pyramids were built by the Egyptians, and carved blocks of stone have been found estimated to weigh 1400 tons (I believe the largest machine we have can only lift about 40 tons) which the Romans are alleged to have carved!
Sadly, if the FA (or whoever runs the shambles of the non-league) were to put a Turd on a piece of Plywood and say this is now the FA Trophy, teams would still vie for it!
The sooner TUFC realise this, the sooner we can get away from the shambles.
