That's confirmed on the CU website, yes...... wasn't getting any playing time.

Now this is a Marquee signing. Local boy returns, experienced at League One level. Captained Exeter to success. I am amazed he is now with us in the 6th tier.
Wotts has added quality from his August starting X1.
He has been backed magnificently by the board.
What a turnaround

At long last we have signed a proper player, a league player, not someone from lower leagues. Now this sounds exciting and the beginning of our promotion journey.
Welcome Matt. I feel he could be our leader on the pitch, that wrong have been lacking.

This signing is a statement of intent, a proven player from the league with tons of experience, hasn't played much this season so not expecting fireworks to start with but his knowledge and proven ability will be of huge benefit to the team.

Matt Jay had 2 stand out seasons for Exeter City 2020/21 and 2021/22 when he appeared 99 times scoring 36 goals.
Matt is an attacking midfielder and with Matt and Jordan Young we have 2 players of Football League standard who could make all the difference to securing Top Spot. COYY
