Awful news. Lost at such a young age. Loved watching him over his career with us. RIP.

Only yesterday I learnt of the sad passing of former Tonbridge Angels player Devonte Aransibia who was only 26. And today we get this really sad news about Tony at the age of 45 who was, as mentioned above, a firm favourite with the Plainmoor faithful. It really does put life into perspective.
Sad times. Rest in Peace Tony

Very sad news. Loved watching his skills and many happy memories of him scoring cracking goals. Condolences to his family and friends.
Very sad. Loved watching him play in the late nineties and the kind of player who got you on your feet expecting something to happen. Definitely goes down as a club legend.
RIP

This is really sad news about Beds. Was a cracking player, and one of our best just as I started being able to watch Torquay. Admittedly this was in Wes' crap team that only just got saved from relegation thanks to the final day heroics at Barnet, but in his early days he was banging them in pretty regularly (36 in his first 100 games, and some beauties among them).
By the way, can we post pictures here? I used to be part of the team that produced Capital Gulls magazine back in the day, and I have a few nice ones of Tony, including him celebrating having just scored the winner against E*e*e* & an interview that Merse did with him to mark his 100th appearance (and which I think might have been the best article ever to appear in Capital Gulls)
