An open letter to TUFC supporters from Michael Westcott & Mark Bowes-Cavanagh Dear Torquay United supporters, As we prepare for the upcoming 2025/26 season, we want to take a moment to thank you for your unwavering support throughout last season. Your passion and commitment to Torquay United continue to inspire us and everyone at the club. We understand that the disappointment of narrowly missing out on promotion still lingers. Rest assured, we remain steadfast in our commitment to achieving success on the pitch and building a commercially sustainable future off it. Every decision we make is driven by our desire to see our club thrive at every level. With that in mind, we are pleased to introduce the Plainmoor Pass, our new approach to season tickets. This rebranding reflects more than just a new name; it represents our vision for a united club. The Plainmoor Pass grants access not only to all senior men’s league matches, but also to all league matches played by Torquay United Women at Plainmoor – around 50% of their home games. Additionally, Plainmoor Pass holders will be invited to attend a pre-season training session, giving you the opportunity to get closer to the action before the season kicks off. We know that some supporters may be concerned about the increase in ticket prices. While prices have been frozen for three years, we now face a combination of rising costs, including compounding inflation during the period, newly introduced higher National Insurance contributions, and the need to invest in Plainmoor’s infrastructure which has been neglected for years. These factors have made a modest increase necessary. However, we firmly believe that the Plainmoor Pass still represents excellent value for money when you consider the added benefits and continued commitment to reinvesting every pound back into the club, especially into the playing budget and essential infrastructure improvements. We are conscious that there are sections in our community who are equally facing increasing costs, and we have tried to balance the interests of our loyal supporters with the interests of the club, our ability to deliver success on the pitch, and the matchday experience for all through our infrastructure improvements. Like many of our fans, we are keen to play at a higher level, and we remain committed to our ambition of re-entering the EFL while remaining financially disciplined and taking a responsible approach in everything we do. We also want to address the decision to remove U-14s concessions from Bristow’s Bench. This change comes in response to the significant increase in family attendance this season, and our aim is to enhance the matchday experience for families by focusing on the Family Stand. We are introducing a new family offer in the Family Stand to create a welcoming and enjoyable environment for families to support the team together. At Torquay United, we are committed to building a club that our community can be proud of. We are confident that the Plainmoor Pass will not only provide excellent value but also reinforce our vision of one club – men and women, players and supporters, united in our pursuit of success. Thank you for your continued loyalty and support. We look forward to seeing you at Plainmoor next season. With best wishes, Michael Westcott & Mark Bowes-Cavanagh Co-Chairmen, Torquay United
