You're wrong Paul Buckle
Your Wrong Paul.
If you had left in the right circumstances not even thinking of speaking to Rovers untill after the playoffs then I might believe you. If you didn't take John Milton our chief Scout we might believe you. If you left Without taking any of the players either contracted or the ones we want after a good loan season we might have believed you. But You have left having undermined out last game. You must be in lala land if you think it didnt affect our playoff preperations. You have taken not only Shuan North but John Milton who is a good scout and that was very inportant to us. No chance of seeing Ross Hannah here now. And it's so blatantly obvious to all that you will come looking for our best players. Now how do you work out we are better off/ It takes time to get in new players and thats with a settle managment team. we have neither. I dont old to the theory that we will go backl down but we certainly do not look likely to have another go at the playoffs either. That is what most other teams would have been hoping after losing in the playoffs. Shrewsbury will no doubt. Huddersfield will and No doubt will one of either Reading or Swansea. But The gulls.Hmm I Cant think thats even realistic and I am normaly a glass half full. I have heard earlier on this board that you dumped your wife. for a newer model. I wonder if it's all likely to come back home to roost. It certainly tells me a lot about the person you are.
Ta for the last 4 years but we won't be remembering this episode with any fond memories
Something comes to mind in all this. The arroagance of one Julius Ceasear.
Beware the Ides of March Paul Buckle. Beware the Ides of MArch.

Harsh but true.
He lied to supporters, unforgiveable.
He's already "identified targets" his words on http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13593492.stm today. He was identifying these targets whilst he should have been preparing for the PO final.
I have no problem with the "thanks for what for done but cannot wish you well" approach given the disrespect he has shown to the people that gave him his chance and paid his wages.

Nope. i don't think so. If he had left in the right way. and a couple of weeks wouldnt have made much difference would it? then he would surely have had most of our blessings.
I am sure that the guys had some of this playing on their minds and I for one can think of how it may have affected Guy Branstons play notwithstanding some of the others. If they had had the right chance to have their minds fully focused and able to concentrate 100% on the game. I think the result would have been different and with us in league one, most of those players touted may well then turn down a move to Rovers. I do know the Mentality of Rovers fans well and he will get a period to make sure the team starts playing the way he wants but if they are no where near where the expectations of the board and fans are after Christmas then he will find the loyalty of Rovers wanting. he will be in for an unbcomfortable ride and I bet he won't have the money he thinks we will either.
Julius Ceasear was also arrogant and he thought he could do no wrong. then the knives were out for him,. We know of so many managers in the league who fall by the wayside season after season who dont reach expectations dont we. There is no loyalty left in football nowadays is there. but it still hurts when it is trotted out by those managers

Just a quick point Glostergull - I know Buckle had Ross Hannah down at Torquay for a day or two this season but i thought i would let you know he has already joined Bradford City. I think he signed a week or two ago.
