Singers next season
So, during the last few home games this season, I have noticed that some of the other singers have moved towards the end nearest the away stand in the Pop. I must say that I thought the atmosphere has improved, but I still think that we get the best sound from the middle of the pop. Just want to know whether the yellow army will continue to stand to the area nearest the away stand throughout next season.
Na, na na, NA NA NA NA, NA NA NA NA, TORQUAY!

wasnt all that as a result of a request from the now departed buckle? seem to remember some desparate halftime plea, it was all a bit cringeworthy at the time.

I think the singers should be BASED in the middle of the popside, the traditional 2 blocks in the middle and only go down to the corner on the games where the away team has a large following (Vale, Argyle, Rovers, Swindon spring to mind) - I think Buckle was correct in saying it gives the team a boost as it counters the noise from away fans. But plenty of time to think about this and work out the best way of going about things.

I agree with a 2 block tip of singing section but not in the middle i'd have them, in the corner beside the away fans all season. This works well at easter road were they have a squad at the back of the stand chanting away for 90 minutes and i must admit does add alot of atmosphere on matchdays.gullsflyinghigh wrote:I think the singers should be BASED in the middle of the popside, the traditional 2 blocks in the middle and only go down to the corner on the games where the away team has a large following (Vale, Argyle, Rovers, Swindon spring to mind) - I think Buckle was correct in saying it gives the team a boost as it counters the noise from away fans.
