joking aside it would be interesting to see the figures for how much we lost on stock over orders there? even heavily discounted who on earth is gonna buy them, souvenir of a defeat that no one wants to remember!?

Absolutely right. The smart money is on sales after the event; "I was there" type things. We simply are not in a position to be blowing thousands on a load of old crap no one will buy.
Sure, my attitude would be different had we won, for sure, but we didn't and here I am.
Matt.

interestingly the replica shirt for that fateful day is still ful price, £35, while the normal shirt has been slashed to £20?
as has been said before its amazing that the players they chose to model the shirts have left in droves!!

When I saw the title earlier, "summer sale" my first thought was "oh great, who have we sold to rovers now".
I tried to buy some of said crap before the final, and was due to be given it up at OT but bloke never turned up with it. So, even more money they lost in the first place.
On a side issue, but related, why don't they do pre-orders for new stuff, like the forthcoming new home shirts? Seems ridiculous to me, and would serve double purpose, firstly not over ordering stuff for the shop, and also to ensure those that want them get them as soon as they're available. Does that not make sense?

Is this the beginnings of a public ousting of 'the Pieman'?Southampton Gull wrote:Nothing makes sense with Simple Simon running the show
