No way they could of offered him 3 years is there? That would be crazy at his age.

Wow, just, wow. Two thousand pounds a week! How long ago was it that we had some BR fans bleating about how they've got no money and can't pay big money? If they're willing to spunk that sort of cash on a million year old striker AND offer him a deal taking him beyond his 38th birthday when, as Bradders says, they'll either be in the Premier League or, such will be their quality and the magnificence of their stadium that UEFA will be forced to create a World Super League to give them a challenge.
Matt.

Guy Branston for example. He's old & hasn't really dropped a league has he. 20 goals last season wasn't it, guess he could still cut it at L1 level in a team that may finish in the playoffs next season (hope not). Looks like he's seen the £ signs from Buckle.......... My opinion is whatever age you are you have to play at the highest level you can ie. Lack of ambition.Rjc70 wrote: Strange comment given his age.
Or just maybe he is a loyal guy and wanted to return to his home town club for one last hurrah.
Or maybe he's got a family to feed and a mortgage to pay?

£2k a week is nothing, we had players on more than that last season and they got comfortable with it.
Didn't some club 'blow us out of the water' with a contract offer for an (almost) 33 year old centre back??
20 goals last season, 17 in league one......he'll do very well in league 2.
The last part of your post...yawn.
