BritishGAS wrote: It wont be 3 years. That is what has gotten us into this mess in the first place giving players 3 year contracts on lucrative, extortianate money, players like Jeff Hughes, Daryl Duffy and Dom Blizzard, who were patheticaly sh*t and knew they were comfortable picking up their 3-4k per week for doing f*ck all.

Paul Buckle has come out and said, we will not be dishing out 3 year deals anymore, any deal will be incentive based judging on success.

Cureton is a Gashead through and through, as are his whole family who still live around the corner from the Mem, and this deal would make perfect sense for him, to come back to his boyhood, hometown club and have a final hurrah, Having his experience may also rub off on our promising young strikers Lamar Powell and Ellis Harrison.

It will be great to see Jamie in a Gas shirt again, as he is the best out and out striker and easily the best finisher I have seen at Rovers and we have had our fair share of gems.

I wouldn't say Jamie was settled in Exeter at all, He still has a pad in Bristol and is here a lot of the time.

I think it is a great move for both parties.

I did have reservations about this coming season, but I am optimistic about are chances, Cureton is a great cue, as is Michael Smith who has also signed today, he is a very promising right back, and the other signings we have made have all come with pretty good reports and references.

Also I am not rubbing it in when I say this but Buckles latest interview hints at another striker who can also play out wide, I may be putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 5, but I think this may be hinting at Zebroski.

Is it me?

What makes anyone think TQY fans would be interested in all of that ?

Well to be honest Dave, this thread is here for the purposes of discussing all League Two transfers so it is on-topic.

Fair enough,,, maybe I'm just fed up with boring Gas heads

Although,,,,,,

This is the main board where we should "Discuss all the lastest news at Plainmoor with fellow fans here".
maybe the best palce for it would be "Banter Board & Other Football" where one can "Banter with rival fans here, non TUFC fans welcome, play nicely!"

and before you ask,, No I'm not a Treky and neither do I own a caravan.

well, it would be, but it's not a transfer (yet) is it ?? apologies if i got it wrong fella, but it just feels we can't go a day without one of your lot itching to tell us you're going to be in for one of our players. a daily occurance over the past three weeks, just getting a bit tedious now. IF it happens, by all means post it.

I don't think there's too much wrong with your view and given the earlier involvement of the resident mischevious Gashead I might have moved it if it wasn't such a popular thread amongst our members. I don't like doing it but if he persists I'll have no choice but to delete his posts when his comments become provocative.

Seriously, if they want to talk about their club on this post and who they've signed or signing, or even probably not signing, just let them.

To be fair, an argument about BR fans is even less on topic than talking about a transfer.

I agree that everything that ends up being BR related should be moved across but it'll be good to keep this one on the main board as it'll just get lost or filled with BR drivel constantly!

For those who can't be bothered to talk to BR fans, just don't talk to them! I've barely mentioned a word to them since my last rant at them.

If Brett wants to duplicate his OP into another thread I can move this across anyway, up to Brett.

I'll move this across now, so you can copy your OP to a new thread on the Main Board

But not nailed on like you claimed though is it?!

Big signing for you guys

You get him then guaranteed 20+ goals and probably playoffs at least. Without him - I predict mid-table.
