This doesn't seem important enough to be on the main board but couldn't find anywhere more suitable so here we are.

Was just browsing some of our squad's wikipedia pages (initially to find out how tall "Big" Brian Saah is) and discovered the following rumour about our second choice left-back:

On 1 February 2010 Rowe-Turner joined League Two side Torquay United for an undisclosed fee. On 31 March 2011 Turner was linked with a move away from Torquay to Turkish giants Fenehbahce and become their star signing at the start of next season. This is to give him Champions League experience before his inevitable move to Italian giants Juventus.

I like the lad, but really? Not even teeboo has suggested anything this outlandish ^.^

Wiki's as useful as a Choclate Teapot. Anyone can edit it so pretty much most stuff on there football related will a load of bollocks to see who falls for it.

I've heard Guardiola is in for him now!
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Just remember the other nugget of info I picked up was that Lathrope is Buckle's nephew - anyone know if that one's actually true?

Wikipedia is generally much better for factual stuff like chemical compounds, famous people from Massachussetts or other such trivialities. With football players, there are inevitably quite a few jokers who think it's "hilarious" to edit information.

It can be funny, though, when you make changes to players' info (particularly foreign ones) and see those details included in reports in newspapers. We should try that ourselves -

"Torquay's new signing, XXX XXXX, joined today for an undisclosed fee, believed to be about £2.50 plus a Twix. In his spare time, he enjoys Proust and buggery."

Wiki is good for some things, but most of the time is full of complete bull. I remember one time I happened to be browsing Mark Lawrenson's page (for the life of me I cannot remember why) and completely alone at the bottom was the line 'He also has the major disadvantage of being a complete tw*t' or words to those effect. Couldn't help but laugh!

I think I'm older than you people then, because "proust and bugger" was a Python reference.

Au contraire, Blackadder - I get it on BBC America. Reminds me of being at Uni.
