APOLOGY - from a monkey with his tail between his legs.

Post by monkeyboy »

A heartfelt apology to all those that took offence at my rant a couple of days ago. It was wrong to call other members "so-called fans" based on some opinions on this forum. I'm sure everybody has a similar love for TUFC and I don't hold myself in higher esteem just because I'm a bit more positive than others. I hope I can return safely without too much harassment as I really do enjoy this forum. As Gene Pitney sang "only love can break a heart, only love can mend it again" :Z

All the best,

Monkeyboy

Welcome back (not that you ever really left ;-) )

I guess we're all different and we all look at things in different ways. Whether you're a glass half full or glass half empty kind of person I think we can all probably agree that the last 5 weeks or so have been pretty tough being a TUFC fan. To play so poorly on the big stage was one thing but to then lose the Manager who played such a big part in getting us there and then for us to lose quite a few of our key players, not to mention having it confirmed that we lost £600k in last years accounts has made this a pretty challenging close season for all at TUFC.

But now it's a time to look forward and personally speaking I am excited by my trip to Tiverton next Wednesday to see all the new signings and perhaps one or two trialists and see how the new management team shape up. In reality we are probably only three or four decent signings away (tough though it will be to find then) from having a team that might just be able to match what last seasons did. Let's hope Martin Ling can find them!

I guess part of your rant was aimed at myself (or appeared to be) I didn't post it as a way of trying to be negative, it was more done at the frustration that we seem to lack the back bone to hold out for a fair price for a decent player. Did I take offense to your response - answer to that is NO :na:

You will have to work a lot harder to annoy me. I would love to feel more positive, and perhaps a couple of quality strikers signed may help me in that direction. However i just can't help but feel it ain't gonna happen, and If I can't air my frustration here and would have to take it out on my kids!!

Glad to have you back. Variety is the spice of...a forum. There are no right and wrong answers, only opinions. We're all here for the same reason - to talk about the team we support. Whether those views be blindly positive, ridiculously negative or perched right on the fence.

Welcome back monkeyboy and apologies from myself for sort of calling you a robot. (I,m sure you've had worse in your time mind!).
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

I know Bixie, must be more stubborn (or find more productive ways to spend my time). Thanks to those who welcomed me back to the fold.

As I've said privately to him, I'm really glad he's back. It would be a really boring place for the rest of us if we all agreed and now I have to find something in Fonda's posts to disagree with, we've agreed far too much of late

We have. It's all a bit dull! We'll see things differently when the action starts no doubt!

He won't do this, as it would involve giving a reason for his view, that's not what he does.
