Adam Birchall?

Post by Richinns »

Just an idea and not even a rumour before we get this going.

Worth a look?

Has handed in a transfer request and probably within our current price range.

Would love him.

urrr, he is very good on FM ;-)

Well seriously, a very good goalscorer, very quick, and certainly in our price range.

Dover have rejected his request - they are obviously a club with testicular fortitude!

He'd only go to Gillingham anyway...

Dover are talking 6 figures for him.

Unbelivable quality at BSS (had the pleasure of watching him smash a hat-trick earlier in the season). If he goes anywhere near plainmoor it'll be on the away team coach only.

We were talking 6 figures for Zeb!

Like I said - just an idea but seems like he IS out of our price range!

God - how depressing :-/

Might be worth a go. Phone them up and say a L2 proven striker is worth £35k, so Birchall in the BSS must be £10k.

Win/Win situation. We either get a new striker or someone at the club learns some new vocabulary that might be useful when future offers come in for Robertson/O'Kane.

Would love to see us make a move for Birchall, has a seriously good record for Truro. Already been bids accepted from Swindon and AFC Wimbledon, as well as now Gillingham. Might be worth us having a go for him as well cos we could offer less upheavel in terms of relocating so we might be in a favourable position

Dover....

Still, would be good to sign someone of that record, but I don't think we'll make a move for him. Gillingham will be the club that gets him.

Erm, out of the four clubs you mention Lee, wouldn't we be the furthest from Dover? Or have I been taking geography lessons from Muzzy?

I think Lees confused between Truro and Dover, HRG.

I am having a nightmare today guys!
Already posted something about Kuffour on the Zebs thread. I have got my teams mixed and my geography. Bad times! Just ignore everything I say from now on! (Or maybe I subconciously just want attention!)

I'll correct myself, we're definitely not the best geographically ( ), though I still think we should throw our hat into the ring for him. We have some money about from the Zebs move and hopefully still some available from Elliot's tranfer in Jan.

Hopefully no more slip ups either. Oh boy it's gonna be a long week!!

Ah I see. Cheers Nick.

I seem to spend most my time in a state of confuzzlement Lee, so you have my sympathy.

Aims for the weeks;
1) Learn difference between Dover and Truro
2) Learn difference between Kent and Cornwall
3) Learn what football actually is :clown:

Then I'll hopefully post some sense again!

You really are on one today, aren't you Lee.

Was going to post about this guy early this morning, when I saw about Gills first bid being rejected, but figured it was a real non-starter, so didn't bother.

It really does go to show how badly we screwed ourselves over with Benyon and Zedders. I'm sure this guy is fine, but to pay two and a half times Zebroski for a total gamble is absurd, partly because that makes him ruinously expensive, but also that it makes Zedders almost unfairly cheap.

Matt.
