Who to partner Atieno Saturday??.....

Post by tufc si »

As per the OP, I think Ling has pretty much resigned to the fact that there will be now Howe available for Saturday!!

He's talked about various options but am just wondering what you lot reckon? Would you prefer to stick with the 2 up top or go 4-4-1-1 and have someone like Macklin or O'Kane supporting Atieno just behind him?

Personally I wouldnt mind seeing Macklin given a chance up top, and especially after hearing that he didnt have a bad game against Cheltenham in JPT!!

Thoughts???? :)

McPhee will Go up top with him and yeoman possibly on the bench.

Definitely McPhee up front with Macklin wide right. It's the least "square peg in round hole" situation we can do.

I'd also like to see Spear on the bench. There is something about Yeoman that suggests he's not progressed as much as the club had hoped.

I would like to see McPhee played in his preferred role as striker, he was quite prolific in this position last season.

It's also time to give Macklin his chance on the wing from the start.

Agree with DevonYellow. By the way did we miss out on Stuart Fleetwood? Seems thathe could of done a job at Plainmoor.

I've seen Spear progress in the academy over the few years and really haven't been that impressed, his best moment came in that friendly when he set up the goal for Morris, another youngster- Sean latimer looks much better prospect already in my opinion having seen them play 7-8 times

He left Hereford for Luton Town on deadline day.

Nanny. I think Macca will start, as well.

I'd go with McPhee playing off him, potentially allowing chageability with O'Kane and Manse from the middle. Macklin to start too, I've been hoping for his pace to get tried out a bit more since the Exeter PSF.

Accepting that he moved on Deadline Day, to suggest we 'missed out on him' would say to me that we were in the ring for his signature.

By that logic, we 'missed out on' Arteta and Crouch and others.

Hardly. As I am sure Fleetwood would of been within our quality range.
