Like many others I expect, I have browsed this site for yonks but had to finally reveal my hand c/o laughter attack re the "lucky" horseshoe.

All I can say is that I think we just have to be extremely grateful it has been with us since 1927 albeit buried under the old stand touchline. Imagine where we'd be without 84 years of such good fortune?...

I guess the horseshoe explains the donkeys years of hoofball seen at Plainmoor. :|
