Absolutely right of course, and a number of fun posts and some light-hearted banter are to be expected, indeed welcomed, though the appropriateness of profanity is debatable given the extensive vocabulary of the English language, where many more suitable and effective words may be found to express the force of an argument or vehemence of emotion. :na:ferrarilover wrote: You want to have a look at the vast majority, if not all, of the other football forum on the internet. One 2 minute visit to the Bristol Useless, AC Northampton or any other L2 forum makes me absolutely thankful that we all have such a pleasant forum to use.
There is so very rarely a thread on any other forum which doesn't, very quickly, descend into childish name calling as soon one poster doesn't agree with the initial assertion of the OP.
It was 'the f word' which I typed, fully expecting it to be censored automatically by the site. We're all grown ups here (aside from the few nippers who pop along occasionally) and it is sometimes the case that profanity is appropriate.
Matt.

Yes, the 'New Stadium' thread was probably lost during that downtime. Not to worry, we can always start a new thread sometime in the future. Or the Gulls could use Home Park... (back on topic)....
An astute smilie in the proper place can convey more than a shipload of words.

I think you may have fallen foul of our server issues to be honest. We had endless problems for a week or two when the site was brought back to life with the most recent backup and some threads were lost unfortunately. As Scott said, we try to let the site run itself more or less, trusting members to use common sense, it's usually only Matt that transgresses and he does get asked to moderate his language.
Feel free to make a new thread based on your previous one, I'm sure it wasn't removed as you suspected but regretably lost.
Edit That'll teach me to read to the end of the thread before replying

Peter Ridsdale has reportedly left Argyle. A step in the right direction?

BBC Website suggests the latter, once the takeover happens.

You're right, he's not left, he will be leaving, and he shall have left when he's gone, right up the M5.NickGull wrote: Left? Or leaving?

Rumour says Brum may be the next to benefit from his helping hand (allegedly)

Arse! Drink!
Not so troubled anymore! Well done to them tbh, never good to see that happen to a club, even though it was all their own fault!
On a side-note, I know Fletcher was suspended for them today but I assume he will continue to play for them during his managerial reign? Seeing as he is pretty much their best player (and can legally buy a pint)

Maybe one day, Carayol will find London...
