How do you think you will do today?
well we both have potential banana skins today. You playing Morcombe and us playing probably the best Cheltenham team for years. It is interesting that you have been discussing on a previous thread your wide options because I would say that to beat Morcombe it is best to go out wide where Zebs and Anyinsah absolutely petrified them last week. To be fair to you your defence is probably better than ours although ours has improved immensely since we put Bolger in there. As for your midfield I would say ours is probably better than yours on the defensive side but yours is better on the offensive so you might find your creative midfiueld might give Morcombe problems.Up front not really sure how Morcombe will do against your forwards. I would go for a close game and could well be another scoring draw but have a sneaking feeling you will just shade it. Us against Cheltenham will also be close although we have three players coming back to probably haunt us..Steve elliot,Daryl Duffy and Josh Low so we could go either way. Good luck.
Really depends on which team comes out on the pitch.....hopefully we will get a more positive team...we hope to have bodin and macklin on the wings with pace so it should be a good game...Cheltenham will be a tough game and like you said they are probably playing the best football they have played for some years....good luck today FG

With the benefit of hindsight it seems that we did better than you old man.
Buckle out!

You certainly did in that you got a draw against Cheltenham at hoime but we did beat morecombe away. In all honesty it was bloody dreadful yesterday!! Hopefully it cant get much worse but we dont look like beating anybody at home at the moment.
Why do you think your lads are finding it hard to play at home, FG? Fans on their backs from the start? Or is the pitch too hard?

Or maybe it's because the youth team aren't waving BRFC flags throughout the whole game?NickGull wrote:Why do you think your lads are finding it hard to play at home, FG? Fans on their backs from the start? Or is the pitch too hard?

To be honest nickGull i think its a bit of everything but my main observation would be if we concede an early goal we are then scared stiff of giving away a second.the ground goes silent and you can almost feel the tension on the terraces. Too many fans expected this to be easy meat and I cannot understand their mentality after the great difficulty we had getting out of this division last time. I think personally we could well improve at home when we play the "footballing sides" ie Swindon,Rotherham,Crewe,Sothend those teams that will give us more room to play and try thenselves to get the ball on the ground. we dont seem to be able to breakdown teams who hoof the ball out and pressurise us. I still think we will do alright and I just pray that the Board gives Buckle at least the whole season to see the job through. I know from what your supporters have said it is not uncommon for buckle to have a long winnless or poor run and then get out of it with a realkly good run. i hope he is getting them out of the way now!!!. regards.

To be honest FG, one of our main problems over the last few season has been grinding out results against teams that came here and strung 5 across the middle and look to catch us on the break. Teams that tried to attack us and play an open game were usually dispatched without any problem. Seems like a characteristic of Buckle teams to be honest
