Wonder if this will force Lingy into the loan market, whichever hope to see Morris back sooner rather than later and hopefully he will back playing with a little more confidence.

With Morris out and Bodin away on international duty this weekend, surely Macklin is going to get a start?

You'd hope so, but with us being away from home is there a risk of us playing Stevens and McPhee?

Would be worrying if he had shown any sort of form-but he hasn't as yet and it presents a big chance for Macklin and maybe Halpin will get in to the squad now too.
Thought Stevens did okay when he came on last week, maybe enough to persuade Ling to start with him on Saturday?

I hope Ling doesn't go straight into the loan market. He said before he would be eager to see how the younger lads can play in the team before turning to the loan market. I would like to see Halpin and maybe even Yeoman, who has had a spell out wide in games, given the chance to at least impress from the bench. Stevens has had his chance in the early part of the season and has failed to grab it, it's time for someone to get an opportunity and make that position their own.

With Morris out it's time to give Macklin a go. He looked impressive in pre season, and he has performed well when coming on as a sub. I'll be very disappointed if Ling plays Stevens on Saturday instead of Macklin. Danny has been given plenty of chances and he just hasn't performed, it is time for Ling to give Macklin a go.

Thats not say that given time Morris would not have settled and played with more confidence, seem to remember Wayno Carlisle having a tricky start, he turned out alright . ;-)

I think it's a positive that Ling has admitted that Morris hasn't been up to scratch yet, he's made no excuses and said "he's not performing at his best yet". Refreshing honesty, and i'm sure the type of honest statement the Rovers fans won't be getting from their boss.
