Ellis hands in transfer request

Post by Plymouth Gull »

.. So I've been told.

I don't know how true this is, but I'm just passing on what I've been told.

This is really bad if true, as Saah proved how useless he is today.

Absolutely terrible news if this is true. Ellis is far too good to be sitting on the bench week in week out. How Saah is still starting is beyond me.

Couldn't care less in all honesty. If he wants to go then let him, never been consistant enough to hold down a first team place under 2 managers, was absolute dog eggs in the week at Cheltenham, and whilst he probably has a case that he should be given more of a go if his attitude to not being handed a start is to play like a **** in the ressies then stick a transfer request in on the saturday then that's not the person we want or need here, especially when the chips are down. The massive love in I've never quite understood to tell the honest truth. Branston >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Robertson >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Todd>>>>>>>>>>>Woods>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Ellis/Saah

Having said that, Saah is absolute crud as well. Branston like I said in August would prove the biggest miss and today just highlights that blatantly obvious fact again. Desperately need another 'proper' centre half that heads and kicks everything.

Not in anyway trying to confirm this, however it appears to be true, lad stood next to me had it on his phone and it appeared to have come from Mark's family.

I think its clear he no longer wants to be hear, let him go, he is not the answer anyway, least we forget he played in the 9.1 reserve defeat aginst Cheltenhams kids.

I'm not suprised either if this is true, what does he have to do to get a game. Saah is bloody useless, Robbo is better but should be playing in the right side of CB. So what's to lose to give Ellis a go? I for one am a little concerned now.........

I rate Ellis quite highly and don't blame him one bit if this is true. Sat on the Bench week in and week out when he could probably walk into most League two teams and get regular football.

Its early days yet but i feel Ling MUST dive into the loan market now as i'm starting to think that our team just isn't good enough right now.

Given that he has not been picked by either Buckle or Ling suggests that either:

a) neither manager know what the hell they are doing and we have an amazing gem of a player sat on the bench week in week out, or;
b) He doesn't apply himself in training, he has a poor attitude and doesn't show the manager anything to make him pick him.

Hmmm....

Our best centre back is played on the left side to accommodate manager's favourite and Club captain (whatever that is) who puts in consistently poor performances. Meanwhile our other centre half is constantly over looked. Ellis is not the amazing player some would have you believe, but he's not any worse than saah. Dropping saah could be just what he needs.

Ellis has patiently sat on the bench for sometime now so this request does not surprise me. Rats and sinking ships does spring to mind though.

Obviously designed to placate him, maybe Robbo to right-back?

Totally agree, Ellis is always lauded as being the possible answer at CB but two managers have kept him out of the starting XI each week and this week he was at the heart of a reserve team defence that leaked nine goals.

If he wants to go, let him. Onwards and upwards
TUFC never fails to let its fanbase down.

The thing with Ellis is you know if he went somewhere else he'd be a star, but for whatever reason he seems unable to achieve his full potential with us. Perhaps its being too close to home that is holding him back?

(this is just an opinion, I don't know anything about Ellis's family or social circles)
