It's only seven games fer cry sakes . . .

Post by Trojan 67 »

. . . since our last League win.

Of the previous seven, four have been draws, three have been defeats.

Last season, almost to the date, we embarked on a NINE match winless run in the League consisting of five draws and FOUR defeats . . .
http://www.torquayunited.com/page/Fixtu ... 10,00.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The season before that, we embarked on an ELEVEN match winless run in the League consisting of five draws and SIX defeats . . .http://www.torquayunited.com/page/Fixtu ... 09,00.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This season's blip and flippin' dip in form has some way to go yet to match the previous two seasons.

Good to see the doom merchants out in force, the forum has been quiet without your input. A few wins should see you well pissed off and back to lurking until another blip and flippin' dip form. :na:

Edit for factuals

Trojan..nice to see you slagging off posters for stating thier views....because we dont post 30 posts a day does not make us doom merchants...
To be fair i dont think the likes of Brucie or even myself could be arsed to post because the likes of you will say he here he goes again ..but give him some respect and notice what he posts is right..the season has been woefull...except the Bristol Rovers game we have not deserved much and i think most thought lets give the signings the benefit of the doubt ...the only sucess has been Bobby and the loan signing Bodin...
the last 2 seasons as you stated we had better quality in the team and qualty loan players were brought in like Stanley etc....
so back off .....the truth sometimes hurt....

Top post trojan. As you already know, i am on yours (and the clubs) side with this.

Far too early to be getting too hot under the collar.
Maybe one day, Carayol will find London...

Add me to your list Steve.

Brucie hasn't seen a game all season so I wouldn't even bother trying to engage him or his views.

Mike, there is only one person "slagging" anyone off that I've seen and it definitely isn't Trojan. It's October not April, we have a side ripped to pieces after last season and hastily patched up to start this season with a squad of players that have struggled to get going. As Travelling Gull said on another thread the talent is there it just needs coaxing out. Why the panic, it's not like you?

Edit: Sorry, it was Shredder, good points made by him that sum up how I feel at the moment.

You earn respect and posting tripe like this, you don't help your cause. We're 16th god 'dammit. Got a good bunch of home games coming up after Southend. I thought on plenty of occasions we've 'deserved' something. Macclesfield, Rotherham, Cheltenham, just got unlucky for some of them. Who's to say that Atieno is given the benefit of the doubt on Saturday, we don't go on and win 4-1? Come back in January, then slate us.

On the subject of winless League runs, our most recent previous to the current, was at the end of last season. It was four draws and one defeat.

That particular winless run didn't prevent us from securing a play off position.

I like that a lot Trojan. Compared to last season thats not actually as bad. Does make me laugh we had a blip like that last season and end up in the play off final.

Were not the only side in the world who are struggling at the moment and sadly we cant win every game. Will be intresting to see what happends next.

Our unbeaten League run at the start of last season ended at Southend.

At Southend this season our current winless run ends ? :|

Stranger things have and do happen in football.

Hey Troj me old mucker. we will remember that when you next slag off Danny Or Dorothy as you call him. Your comment at the game yesterday summed it up. When asked if that was Danny's fault. Your reply. He only did that (score) becuase he knew it was my Birthday. Haha Priceless. Come on guys Trojan was 54 yesterday or was it 64. or maybe 79. oh yes I remember now He's 98. We can surely give him enough Bumps to remember his birthday next Home match can't we?. Or stake him to the center circle and wait untill they water it again. Oh I forgot. dress him up in his bra and PVC Panties then stake him to the center circle.

Any comparison with the last two seasons is nonsensical. The team in the last two seasons was of better quality than this one. Therefore the likelyhood of picking up is probably less. Some people need to take a healthy dose of realism. Anyone can post shite like trojan has can any sane person really see the current side going on a run of wins?
I posted before the Bradford game that we wouldn't win three out of the next twelve games. We have subsequently lost to a team who played most of the game with ten men. We followed that up by getting shellacked by a Gillingham team with several injuries and their top scorer missing.
Between those two games our fringe players contrived to get whupped by an average Cheltenham reserve side.
Oh yes - don't worry Ling is "gonna look at the dvd" (his favourite saying).
There is NO evidence that our form is going to improve - in fact it is likely to get worse.

Not that I am defending what went on yesterday but don't mention Gilinghams injuries Brucie to back up your argument when they can bring in the likes of Kuffour who is on 3k a week and another forward from West Ham and we have to try & compete with THAT !!

Yeah, Troj, you fool, who the hell do you think you are, coming on here with your facts and figures and genuine reality? Don't you know that what you're supposed to do is just lob insults and baseless opinions around and proclaim the apocalypse of relegation, because we are mid table in October!

Honestly, and you go to the games too, which is the preserve of idiot. You're supposed to sit at home and then base your opinions on nothing but the score line, don't you know anything?!?

Matt.

Another cracking baseless statement there Brucie. How do you know it's going to get worse?

YM i wish i had your optimism....you note i am not calling your post tripe...crap maybe but not tripe....
onto the subject of the title...Ferrari lover...i know you love yourself and your posts and i knew it was a matter of time before you came on and got personal....nice one....SouthamptonGull ..its not like me to feel as i am as unlike the previous seasons where i have been telling people give not to get pessamistic and things will be fine and i honestly did believe it..check my posts from then....but this year i do not have the same optimism...and yes i have been to the games with my kids....it always gets silly when as soon as you state your point albeit its a a note of worry and concern there is an avalanch of people coming back to you with this high and mighty how dare you be negative...i always thought this was a fair forum to state your views and opinions whether good or bad...not to be witchunted or so it seems.....
