Now, this is a Bristol Useless thread, but only because that's where it is, I'd have posted it even if it had involved two other teams.

What a bunch of bloody fairies, calling for the police to be called and a year long ban imposed. Granted, it's not a brilliant tackle, but it is one footed, low and not terribly venomous. If he'd have come in from the side like that and won the ball before wiping out Carayol, it would go down as one of the best tackles in history.
Man up you soft Bristolian nancy boys, it's a man's game.
Matt.
Quick Edit: Now THIS is a bad tackle: " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Whilst i think involving the police and banning this lad for a year is total nonsense, i must admit when i first
saw the challenge i did think a 6 game ban would be relevant.
To me it has nothing to do with the force of the challenge or whether it was only one foot, the ball and muzzy had gone, the accy player went through him later , than british rail's 1985 service to paddington, good honest challenge ...yes, tackles like that...no thanks.

Agree with Dave. Talk of a year ban is silly, but the ban is worthy of more than 3 games I feel. The guy isn't even looking at the ball for goodness sake. Eyes only for Muzzy.

Just seen the highlights of it and it is pretty disgraceful. Never does it warrant a year ban or Police though, save that for the day someone beats the cr*p out of another player on the pitch.
He should recieve a big punishment though, especially when you consider Rooney got banned for 3 important games for something equally as petulant but half as dangerous to the other player.
4 matches, 2 weeks wages and he has to spend Christmas Day spoon feeding some old biddies their mushed up Christmas Dinner.

I wasn't at the game, but having seen it on TV, it was cynical in the extreme. Certainly worthy of a hefty punishment, I think he should be made to buy my season ticket off me and use it.

I knew I was right to vote to allow GasRex to stay.
