ITV highlights.

Dreadful, I thought. They missed several games from the weekend - something you never get on the BBC. Waited for our game thinking we may get a bit more as we caused an upset, but no, about 15 seconds worth.

Frustrating - the sooner the BBC get the rights back the better.

Unfortunately, with the number of ties, they had to rush through them. I don't know why they couldn't have just shown the highlights like they normally do on a Saturday night. With the Halifax v charlton match on as well, I suppose they had to follow strict timescales.
Na, na na, NA NA NA NA, NA NA NA NA, TORQUAY!

Probaly not helped by the live coverage of England /Spain, and having to fit in the dork factor aswell, otherwise they probaly would have a highlights show Saturday night

Don't see why they had to rush through it. What programme is so pressing at 11.30 sunday night that means it has to be cut short?! Jesus, they may as well just get some numbskull to read out the scores and 5 minutes later put a double bill on prisoner cell block h. Clueless arseholes paid millions, unbelievable.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

I'd agree. Last year they did the FA Cup Show on ITV and it was decent this year has been rubbish and they probably wont bother attempting to make it any good till round three when the Prem teams come in so they can drool over actually being able to show Premiership teams on there channel on a Saturday.

I can't remember ever seeing good highlights on ITV sports website. Video too jerky, like a series of still images, commentary ridiculously faint, sound effects ridiculous. All done in a rush, on the cheap...

Just ITV's coverage in general. I watched most of the Halifax-Charlton game and I thought the commentary and studio analysts were talking a load of nonsense. Lets face it, the FLS isn't the best show but at least they give us extended highlights on the website with easy access, and try to do features on every club occasionally.

The BBC is streets ahead of ITV for football, and sport in general, and it's a shame the FA Cup isn't on the BBC.

If the FA wanted to get the competition back where it belongs then they need to get their heads out of their arses. A hastily put together hour or so show on ITV not even showing some games on a day where there was only one other high profile game (England) is worse than a joke and it just shows how meaningless the cup has become. Attendances are shockingly low, for many clubs less than half their usual home league attendances. Yes i know people have season tickets for league games but it is obvious that many fans even don't give a shite about it. There are non-league clubs playing league clubs at home and still getting less people through the gates than they would a bog standard league match against another run-of-the-mill non league club. Where is the passion for the cup?! Why would fans of say, Alfreton not bother going to a home cup game against Carlisle (two leagues above and established members of the football league) but then go to the following home game v Barrow for Christs sake? There were less than 1500 there. Memo to Alfreton fans, Carlisle are the biggest team you will play this season and perhaps for a very long time. There is also the possibility you may beat Carlisle and progress. I bet you'll all be there if you get to the thrid round and get Aston Villa or somebody. Pathetic. Same goes for clubs like Sheff U who lost well over half of their fans for the visit of Oxford on first round day. Do they think they are too good for the cup? Those stayaway fans should be banned from getting a ticket if United were to get a Man Utd or somebody. I know TV scheduling isn't the FA's fault but it just seems that nobody gives a s**t anymore about what was the greatest , most renowned cup competition in the world. It is no better than the carling cup now. Sorry for the rant but it just p****s me off that such an iconic competition is being shunned by the FA, TV companies and the fans.

I dont think the mix of ESPN and ITV helps either; neither provider matches 20% of the expertise of Sky or BBC and there is no information on the FA website that I can find that gives you anything about what matches are live or when highlights are on. One of the matches as well I would have turned off if my yng son had been in the room; the language and chanting was non stop foul and abusive; its there at a real match and we put up with it but providors do have volume controls and the ability to turn mikes on and off so no excuses for a family viewing time.
BUT would we want Sky to have all the rights; of course not but while the BBC wastes millions every year on perpetuating its own myth then there is no money in the budget for things we want to really see ; the Beeb is almost paying us back for the cuts 'our' government want to be seen to be making .....what a life eh?

Had to laugh at our game, they couldn't get us off quick enough. Such was the speed of the footage that the commo was still telling us about Danny putting the first in as Rene was rounding the keeper for the second.

It's coming to something when we turn over much fancied opposition, away from home and we get less air time than the most boring 0-0 ever played between Port Vale and Grimsby, we really must be unpopular.

It always made me laugh that Northampton v Luton (1 division between both) gets loads of air time and "under dog suprise win" praise. We go away to a League 1 club and get sod all. Now we have one of the best teams in the 2nd round, maybe talk of it being televised, but if we win again we would probably get a pat on the back and a "good luck in the next round". We all hope for a draw again Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal instead we will end up at some sh!t hole of a ground 4 hours away.

Aren't Chelsea, Man Utd and Arsenal over four hours away? At least the sh!t holes will be cheaper. :-/
