Not long in from it. We played reasonably well. Niall Thompson looks a good prospect. Plenty of pace and had a few chances which maybe he should of scored at least one but still promising. Ibbertson in goal saved all there missed penalties aswell. They celebrated for ages on the pitch after tha game..

A draw was a fair result over the ninety minutes with not a lot of real chances and Torquay started to get nervous near the end but no fear when it came to penalties. Firstly apart from one missed we absolutely buried our pens giving the keeper no chance whatsoever and to be fair two of their pens were hit well but Aaron Ibbotsen made two fantastic saves. Not much too him but his handling was excellent all night. Well done to them and enjoy Manchester (Altrincham)...
Must also congratulate Cirencester too, they never gave up and gave their all.

Man Utd are the current FA Youth Cup holders, so Altrincham, or wherever, should be quite a game to remember for our lads.

There were about 130 there. 20 or so from Cirencester. Would have been nice to see a few more but of course there was that all important "pointless friendly" on the tv and people wanted to watch that instead. I wonder how many at home were cheering when the final whistle went at wembley (very few i expect) compared to the scenes on the pitch and in the stand when Ibbotsen saved the final penalty. You would have thought they had won the cup there and then...
