Stourbridge v The Cornish FA Cup replay

Post by Colorado Gull »

Anyone else watching this on ESPN?

Well ATM it's nearly HT and Stourbridge have been the closet to score, but sadly haven't as the score line is 0-0. The Plymouth CB's have been poor at times but Stourbridge's play when coming forward has been good. Argyle's RB Bignot (who most of us remember from Saturday) has been sent off. All in all it's not looking good for our Green rivals down the road.

Stourbridge 1-0 up!!!!!!

First of all there was a mistake from Stourbridge's GK, but he got away with it. Then the ball was clear and it came to Ryan Lowe. With skill, Lowe ran past the Argyle RB and won a corner. The corner was taken and Stourbridge's goal scorer headed in with class!

Oops

2-0!!!

A ball again came to Lowe, he ran down the right wing and shot at goal but his chance was saved. It then came out to Stourbridge's number 11 and he scored with great skill as he only had a little gap to aim at.

Those of you who know me will know that I often spend evenings watching South West Peninsula footy when Torquay are not playing so I am not having a go at non league teams at all by this post, I just think it is great that Argyle are loosing by a cricket score.....at a cricket ground!

FULL TIME: STOURBRIDGE 2-0 ARGYLE.

Well all I can say is that Argyle were awful and they are in deep trouble. However Stourbridge did play some nice football at times and fully deserved the victory!

My mate was talking about how he was happy they got Stevenage as it gives them a good chance to get to the 3rd round and make some much needed cash. all the while here i am thinking to my self... you have to beat Stourbridge yet mate.

I love visiting grounds like that, warms the cockles of the heart! Unfortunately AFC Totton have moved to a new ground, so I won't even have the pleasure of quaint surroundings watching us get tumped in a couple of weeks.

I really hope Argyle replace Fletcher before its to late, decent player but totally out of his depth, theres just no discipline anywhere within that team. I'd hate to see argyle go down, and would love to have another local derby at Plainmoor next year!! I

Tottons old ground at Testwood Lane was a dump and trust me when I say you wouldn;t want your players trying to play on that godawful pitch. Their new ground is lovely, set just a mile from the M27 it's one of the best new grounds I've ever seen at that level, you'll get your quaint surroundings have no fear.

I have to admit , i was utterly irritated by the attitude of some Argyle fan's towards us and our club, i wish them no long term harm, however a little spell in the bsp will only do them so good, and teach there fan's some badly needed humility.

Don't fancy trying to get us a aticket do you! They have only given us 345, and while I'm in all the priority groups, it could be hard work getting one. However, Totton will put some on general sale to anyone who can prove they live in a Southampton post code.
