Argyle have re-signed Nick Chadwick who has been plying his trade in the lower leagues with the likes of Chester, Barrow and Stockport - so quite a surprise that he is back in the League at 29 ! They have also added one of our former loanees in Ashley Hemmings who showed some nice touches with us but seemed a little on the lightweight side for L2 tbh. I think Darren Purse will probably do a decent job for them but I wouldn't be too excited about the other two if I were an Argyle fan (which I'm not Trojan!

Another one of our "old" boys has signed for Swindon Town - Ronan Murray - I thought he had some real quality about him in his brief spell here. They are also rumoured to be on the verge of signing Paul Benson (ex Daggers) from Charlton after his move to Bradford, which seemed all but a done deal, fell through at the last minute. Whilst these two signings will undoubtedly strengthen Swindon, I have a feeling it could be good news for us in as much as given the number of strikers they now have on their roster I'm really not sure there is much prospect, if any, of Billy Bodin getting anywhere near their first team in the immediate future and so hopefully this will increase our chances of making his move permanent in January.
I also see that Port Vale have signed three players on loan, another one from Ipswich (O'Connor- a young defender) and two guys from Stevenage (Reserves) namely Guy Madjo and Myrie-Williams (ex Bristol City). Not too concerned by this as it strikes me to have been a little bit of a panic move by Micky Adams, who seems to be feeling a bit of pressure up there - not sure if any or all of them will feature tomorrow but if they do it will be like playing with a bunch of "strangers" surely? Not only that but given some of the comments being made by Adams on how "bad" his current squad is, it is hardly likely to boost the confidence of the existing squad either!
