To be honest Matt, it just backs up my point which wasn't to have a pop at you but the point of if you see a side on a given day then your opinion of them as a side is that 1 game good or bad, whereas the team you watch every week you've seen all aspects of where they are as a side.

I'm not currently one, but in past seasons I've been an Argyle grandstand season ticket holder. :slap:

I watched my first game at Home Park on the 5th of October 1968 (the season Argyle came down from the old Second Division into the Third) against Torquay United. It was number 2 in the 20 grounds I've attended, Plainmoor being the first. There were 20,810 there that day and I was on the open terrace in the Barn Park End. The result 2-1 to the Gulls (Jimmy Dunne and Alan Welsh), Fred Molyneux scoring for Argyle.

Argyle team that day : 1.Pat Dunne 2.Mike Reeves 3.Colin Sullivan 4.Bobby Saxton 5.Fred Molyneux 6.Johnny Hore 7.Norman Piper 8.Mike Bickle 9.Danny Trainor 10.Dave Burnside 11.Duncan Neale Sub:Richard Reynolds

I'll clarify now : I was and I still am an Ellacombe born and bred TUFC supporter who played 2 seasons for the TUFC Colts Under 18s youth team between 1971 to 1973. That's another story as is there is no greater privilege/honour than for a local buhy to play at Plainmoor and win honours for his home town club.

Back then in '68, some yoof of the day were skinheads who wore red tag Levi jeans and jackets with the patch(s) of the club they supported sown on above the jacket pocket(s). I was one of them yoof. :Oops: The thing is, I'm a skin now but not by choice. :Oops:

So why Argyle ? After that game in October, I thought I want to support these as well. Back in the day, the school kid fashion was to support whoever won the old Division One title/FA Cup/European Honours. Nothing changes then, does it ? Now you can see where many of the armchair supporters are fashioned from. I was different, I wanted to support a team close enough to home who I could watch on a regular basis.

To this very day I take stick for being a PAFC supporter, especially from Mark Ling who greets me on entry to Boots&Laces with "GREEN ARMY !" :Oops:
I've never had a problem with being ambidextrous in the football sense, but other people have.

Look on the bright side (and I thank my lucky stars), the second Football League ground I visited could have been Sid James Park.

My memory is not what it was. I've had a recount, it's not 20 grounds, it's 31 grounds including the "Twin Towers"/New Wembley.

Now where did I leave my tablets ? Oh yes, I remember, I left them on Mount Sinai. The next time they appear Moses (reincarnated as Charlton Heston) has swallowed them. And if you've swallowed that, you'll swallow anything too.



Of those 31 grounds, 9 clubs no longer play there :
