Torquay Fanzine?
Can anyone tell me if there is currently or ever has been a Torquay United fanzine in paper format that is /was usually sold before home games? I would like to buy some if there are any currently. Maybe if there aren't do you guys think there is still a place for them at lower league clubs? I for one love them and love all the comedy banter and ripping of local rivals. I know the internet has taken over most things but i bought the Vale fanzine last friday and thoroughly enjoyed it. Maybe we could all get one up and running again if there isn't one at the moment. Cheers everybody.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

I think, but don't know for sure, that this question was raised once before. Sadly, it was before Louis spilled his coffee down the old server and caused it to explode. Fear not, bingo kicks out in half an hour, so Stefano and Troj will be along soon after to set the record straight.

there used to be a couple, bambers right foot was the best one, but capital gulls used to produce a very good magazine every month or so, dont think either exist, if they do then i'd be keen on a subscription

As far as I know there is no existing fanzine. I was aware in the past of the ones already mentioned and the Capital Gulls magazine in particular was excellent. Although they don't exist as a group any longer the former CG's are still very much in touch and still as interested in Plainmoor matters as they have always been, and four of them have just returned today from a football pilgrimage to the Netherlands and Germany taking in several games. I think as has already been said fans forums have probably replaced most fanzines, as the jokes and banter about and with other teams supporters is immediate.
All ok until everything crashes, and I can't slip my laptop inside a copy of Pride and Prejudice whilst lying on the beach trying to impress the birds with my sophistication!
Yeah ok I'm talking crap now .... time for bed .... goodnight!

Mission Impossible was superb - Easily the best 20p (then 30p) a TUFC could spend. I remember it during the Cyril Knowles / early Dave Smith years. Before football fans started taking themselves too seriously on forums.numpte wrote:A pre bamber publication called Mission Impossible was the best.
If anyone has back copies of this or knows how I can buy them please pm me or post it here.
