Just how much do we miss Billy Kee...

Post by ferrarilover »

Lots, that's how much.

A quick look at the BBC website shows that he is responsible for 11 goals and 11 points for Burton this season. Without him, they'd be 17th (between AFCW and Brizzle Useless) with 25 points and a -8 GD. As it is, they're pushing for the autos.

Add his Burton contribution onto our tally and we are in EXACTLY the same position as Southend are, 2nd place, 42pts, +15GD.

And that's without mentioning the fact that fat boy Howe is out for three games, because he is the stupidest man alive. Perhaps a loan to perm deal would have been the better option? I thank the board and support a lot of what they do, but I can't help but think they may have dropped a bollock on this one.

Matt.

But he wasn't enjoying his time here, that's why we never saw his best...if we were based up north I'm sure he would of done the job...we can't say we miss him as he never really performed although I do understand he played a lot of his time on the wing here, buckle..!

I think it's harder to settle at a club when you're not getting a decent run in the side in your favoured position.

Do we get some kind of sell-on fee? If we don't the board really have missed a trick.
Maybe one day, Carayol will find London...

I'm not alone in thinking we wasted Billy Kee while he was here but it was obvious that he was always going to be happier and more settled closer to home. I would say we miss him more than he's missing us.

I was disappointed when Billy left as he has undoubted ability but we all know he wasn't settled in the area and that combined with tosser playing him out of position all the bloody time meant that we didn't see the best of him. We are short on quality frontmen, especially now Howe is out and he is greatly missed as he would have linked up great with Bodin. Forget the two Ronnies, it could so nearly have been the two Billies!!
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

In the majoirty of games Billy Kee played for us, he rarely looked like he had 1 goal in him, let alone 11, yes he was played on the wing and rarely given a proper chance to show what he could do in his more favoured position, would that have made easier for him to settle here, may be, maybe not who knows, we never will.

This whole Billy Kee debate no doubt will run on, and on, had Billy Kee gone to Burton and failed to score there would have been a number of "i told you so threads" As at the time he left there were just as many , if not more fan's saying no great loss, than those who thought letting him go was a big mistake.

The only real way to measure how much we miss Billy kee is to look at his record playing for Torquay , not his record playing for burton, and on those grounds i will say we are not missing him at all.

Kee always looked a good finisher. even in pre-match warm up, you could see his ability to hit a ball was there, he struck the ball so cleanly. shame we never saw the best of him, but agree with previous posts, a right winger he wasn't !! i think the belief by Ling and co. was that it was howe OR kee, and not both. so with billy not being totally happy, it was best for all parties for him to move on, although now Howe is out, i wish he was still here.
