Might as well go here as anywhere else...
Have you seen the thread on PASOTI called 'Torquay Supporters'? What a bunch of whinging Mary Jane wetpants Plymouth fans are. Three pages of nonsensical tirade against us on the basis that we sang some unkind songs. Have this lot not been to a football match before? Were they looking for the Polo field and got lost? Do they think it's 1893 and we should all be doffing our caps to one another?
And if we're going down the wimpy route, Argyle, What about 'Torquay United, you'll always be shit'? Yup, terrible, absolutely awful, we might just be the worst bunch of ragtag misfits on the face of the Earth
*cough* 5-2 *cough*
Grow a pair Argyle, you'll need bigger balls to face the likes of Braintree Town and AFC Telford in the Conference next year.
Matt.

The real miracle here (judging by your attempts at the English language) is that you have the brain power to switch a computer on, let alone put fingers to keyboard. Well done sir.
have this vision of the Harry Enfield sketch when he has long shorts and smoking a pipe as a player :~Dferrarilover wrote:Might as well go here as anywhere else...

On that song calling us sh*t I was hoping we'd reply with "Plymouth Argyle you'll always be skint"... ^.^

Miracles don't happen in football. The Gulls are where they are through sound management, financial prudence, a brilliant manager, excellent team spirit, and Helen Chamberlain. They will undoubtedly be promoted this season.
Looking objectively at Argyle's situation, the current form of their team and that of other teams around them, my fair and unbiased expert view is that Plymouth will avoid relegation, and that Wimbledon and Bristol Rovers will be relegated.
It is also my considered opinion that Paul Buckle before too long will find a manager's job, though not necessarily in football. You can't keep a good man down.

My guess is that Wimbledon & Argyle will go down, I just can't believe that Bristol with Stanley, Zeb, Muzzie, & Poke will be in trouble. It looks to me that the new Argyle owner will not be spending any money on players, six days into the transfer window & no signs of any new players apart from Chadwick & Purse who have been there since before Christmas. It looks to me that Argyle will be downsized & re-branded as a BSP team that live within their means. I.M.O. they will still get 5,000 gates & should do very well. I just hope their fans realise that they are very lucky to still have a team to support, a few weeks ago they were all posting that as long as they still existed, they would be pleased to be in the BSP, now some of them think that they will be signing 4 or 5 quality players. I have no doubt that the two worst teams I have seen this season are Argyle & Wimbledon. Barnet who we beat 1-0 at Plainmoor looked to be quite a good side, so I think they will be OK. I also think that Hereford & Northampton will stay up.

Sorry Wodger, but that looks suspiciously like the much maligned (because it's always wrong) "too good to go down" argument.

Another defeat then. Tick tock, tick tock - 21 games to go and possibly 30 points needed (maybe a bit less if Argyle are lucky). That "top ten" finish you aspire to gets further away as you are still BOTTOM and a very poor side indeed. As I said before: arrogant, deluded tosser.green bey1 wrote:"The entire fanbase of the plucky seasiders, vist their much bigger and far more successful neighbour. this time next year we will be ten points clear at the top of league 2 and you sad muppets will be ten points adrift at the bottom with little city, you know it will happen ladies!" and "we wont need a dog or a crap ground to save us, im looking at a top ten finish this season x"

Things are looking bleak its true, but you are torquay united and you have always been shite! A small comfort but i find it helps.
Fair enough. Personally I find the fact that we're incredibly likely to be playing league football next season quite comforting. But since you cannot say the same, whatever floats your boat.

I take your "Torquay United have always been shite" argument and point you to the league table, and the fact that said "shite" has beaten your team of potential "top ten" world beaters twice this season......keep digging though

Well we must all bow down before the intelligentsia of the Devonport End. Some of your mates were chanting for the English Defence League at Crewe today, says it all really.green bey1 wrote:Things are looking bleak its true, but you are torquay united and you have always been shite! I find it funny how Plymouth is more than triple the size of Torquay in terms of population and yet you can only manage to avarage 4000 more fans than our "little" club this season.green bey1 wrote:Things are looking bleak its true, but you are torquay united and you have always been shite! Face it, your club is a joke and when your losing to teams like Forest Green next season in front of even lower gates you'll be wishing for the day you get another cup final against us just so you can remember what Home Park used to be like when it managed to fill half the seats.
We can accept we are a small club, and it dosn't bother me in the slightest, we are playing good football at the moment and are enjoying our league position. we are a well run club and unlike you have never entered administration. When are you green slimes going to wake up and realise you're really not very big after all? Lets see if you can get out of that awful league quicker than the 5 years it took Exeter.
It's blue, its sqaure, Argyle's nearly fu*king there.

End of the day i would rather be a small club than a conference side.
Many sides can say we are a small club and they find themselfs stuck in the BSP. Size of the club in league 2 doesnt really matter. Maccelsfield have the smallest league budget and they find themselfs in the league every season.
Thing is i laugh at, you say were that small and rubbish. But you are bottom of the league were 10th in and you could be the league below next season. What does that say about your club? Yes you was once in the championship (stress the word once) but now your not. You could again be one day, but for the time being your not and get used to being where you are as its going to be awhile.
Im one of many members who will say they are Torquay til they die, we mean it because what league we are in doesnt matter. Where as you once has many fans, who ditched you for Man Utd ect because of what league your in. Great fans that.
