Personaly, i just want to see a new name on the pot , i would prefer Spurs to win it over Man city, however do not think Spurs will have enough in the end, either them or Man City will do me.

I do not want to see the premiership become another SPL were every season the question is asked can anyone really psuh Celtic and Rangers, the more teams we have challenging for the title the better, how they get in to a position to challenge does not really bother to be honest.

Well, it bothers me - the more clubs that try and buy success, the more I fear for clubs like ours, where money is an issue.

The more clubs that have money, the more players will expect to be paid silly sums of money, and it will filter down to the point where clubs like ours end up going of business due to not being able to compete with those clubs that have a bottomless pit.

Unfortunately, as we know, players follow the money nowadays. I know that is a sweeping statement, and there are obviously exceptions to the rule. I know there are players who want to play football, and are delighted they are getting paid for something they love doing. However for every Lee Mansell, or Kevin Hill (for example), there are five or six others who are content to move to a club, get paid five or six times more than we (or clubs like us) could ever dream of paying, and rot away on a bench....meanwhile living the life of Riley.

Money has, in the main, been the death of our beautiful game - Sky TV has been another, but again that is linked to money.

The fact that a club like Spurs are, in essence, punching above their weight (and lets face it, they are in comparison to the likes of City, Liverpool et al), should be embraced (with the exception of supporters of other London clubs who are probably sick of the fact that Spurs are where they are). Long may their rise continue!!

The way i see it for a start Scott, is the premiership is so far removed from league 2 it is untrue, there is no way any cash rich premiership club is going come around league 1/2 with a dragnet net and scoop up all the best players, there will allways be enough professional standard footballers to go around, some will never be above league 1/2 standard.

The footbal league clubs allready get a cut from the P/L t,v money, and in reverse every year as we all know, a great number of young players are released from top clubs many of which sign for league 1/2 clubs on free transfer's.

aS a kid growing up in the late 70's/early 80's i remember the likes of Southampton pushing lIverpool all the way, Notts forest winning the league and league cup, Aston Villa piping Ipswich to the league title, Everton winning the league twice etc, those days have gone forever, largy thanks to Man.u , liverpool and Arsenal etc , it was those clubs who forced the idea for the premiership, and so money started to go more and more to those clubs who had it in the first place, and the reason over the last 20 years or more ,the question at the start of every season is, can anyone stop Man.u or can anyone else break into the top 4.

The very biggest clubs in this country so badly wanted the premiership so they could do just excatly what they have done already, which is corner the market entirely as far as football is concerned, and thats the problem the only way the likes of Chelsea/Man city, or any other sizable club can bridge the gap created by Man.u etc, is getting investment from oil rich barron's, Spurs as far as i can see are the only exception to this, and fair play to them.

The thing is, it is not oil barron's who are destroying or have destroyed football in this country, it was the birth 20 years ago of the premiership that destroyed football , and will only destruy it further, as the monster's within will start
signing there own T.V deals which will lead to the likes of Man'u etc playing premiership matchs out side the U.K , China, Japan even the States , it is on the way, thats one of the reason's why iam not to bothered about clubs coming into money , for me it is one way hopefully to save football from going completey down the road of having just one maybe two clubs capable of winning all the major trophies, as year on year the gap will only get wider.

The only hope for me, is that will just the thing that push's more and more real down to earth football fan's towards clubs like our's.

Or, it could go the other way, and people stop coming to watch teams like ours and follow the money - preferring to be entertained in the pub watching premiership football...."supporting" whatever rich team is on the up and up at the time.

The countries that are better than us at football are better than us because they produce better footballers than we do. Spain could probably field 4 sides that would beat the best England has to offer.

Very slowly we're starting to realise this and change the way we bring through youngsters, reducing the sizes of pitch so that the emphasis is on skill, movement and technique rather than pace and power. In no other country in the world would "passion" be something they want in a footballer.

It's cliched rubbish, on a par with the stories we get every 4 years about players singing the national anthem.
Passion on the pitch is Trojan having a snog in a threesome with Gilbert and Matt in the mud at the away end!!

Game over now for the North Londoners after the defeat today. In addition i'd like to get it off my chest what a prick Balotelli is. He score the last minute winner which probably saw off one of the two other title challengers and he just stands there arms out like the statue of Christ the Redeemer as though he had saved the world from starvation and poverty. What an absolute tail. So you managed to kick a football past a man and into a net. It's nothing special mate unlike your assault on Parker when you stamped on his head. That was really special. The folk who say,'oh he's a character, he lets fireworks off in his house and stuff' are weird. I just call him an anti-social, spoilt, average footballer with obligatory arrogance and attitude problem.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Sorry Guys, The greed to these clubs in the Premier have all but ruined the grass roots of football. All they care about is the money and their cancer is filtering down through to the lower leagues like an insidious drug. There are so few players now who show any loyalty, that rather than bother to comment on who or what is going on in this cancerous league I would rather spend time applauding the efforts of players in our league who do show that money isnt everything in life.
Stand up and take a bow. Lee Mansell. Kevin Nicholson. Your loyalty inspires us all and is a golden sceptre to hold up to all as an example of how to conduct yourselves. You are indeed a credit to football.

It's for exactly these reasons that I love Balotelli. I'd far rather have him around than any of the cookie-cutter bland, boring types who never do anything or say anything. Yes, he can be a bit of a turd but I genuinely think some of thing he has done are pretty awesome (the bullying one in particular).
