He's probably hoping his English accent will bag him some hot American girls.
Let's face it though, he obviously has no idea where his bread's buttered, Rebecca Lowe is pretty hot. Idiot.

Cue the Stevenage fans!
Maybe Buckle is a genius after all!- deliberately threw the playoff final - deliberately made a shave up of Rovers - got a big payoff - all whilst playing the waiting game for the Stevenage Manger to move on - so he can take his next step (to League 1) of managerial greatness!

This might be a cliché but it's true. The ladies love the accent.cambgull wrote:He's probably hoping his English accent will bag him some hot American girls.

Oh yes. If you can't pull a bird here then something is very wrong.

Surely Buckle can't come out of the shit smelling of roses AGAIN?! What a kick in the teeth it would be for us Gulls if he got the Stevenage job, the team who beat us at OT when Buckle didn't give a toss as he was Bristol bound. Football is really bizarre sometimes when events like this happen. I just hope to God the Stevenage chairman doesn't fall for his bulls**t.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Interesting comment from the Stevenage chairman, when talking about the ex-manager leaving the club:
"Fundamentally we are not a selling club anyway - we have no
need of transfer funds to remain solvent and I prefer to
build, improve and invest into our team over time - not weaken
it - so unless an approach for one of our players would give
them a life changing income from a huge club at a higher
level, we will ignore any approaches for any of our lads and
continue to focus on winning games and moving up the football
pyramid."

Ideally, the situation we'd like Torquay United to be in..

Buckles was interviewed yesterday for job FACT. I have seen the text convo between him and a good friend of his. Led to believe it went well. You will be shocked to hear he is very confident about it.

I don't think Paul Buckle would understand what a bad interview is. He does everything right, you know!popside_yidlad wrote:Buckles was interviewed yesterday for job FACT. Well, he might have done, eventually. After all, he got us promoted from the BSP. He might also have got Rovers out of the BSP if he had not been sacked..Southampton Gull wrote:Buckle was also confident he would get Rovers promoted.....

Hmm I wonder what sort of birds he might pull next.usagullmichigan wrote:Oh yes. If you can't pull a bird here then something is very wrong.
A cock. after all he seems to resemble one rather closely.
Humming bird. as he ponders his next words of wisdom.
Vulture as he plunders his previous team.
Cuckoo as he steals others ambitions and seems to be in that land a lot of the time.
Robin. you never know he may end up thier manager one day.
Blackbird. He is obviously the black sheep of the family. (yeah yeah I know sheep don't fly, but you just watch me throw a leg of lamb)
Mocking bird. He did mock us rather.
Tit. need I say more.
Always Look on the bright side of life

The new Stevenage manager will be announced at a press conference 11am tomorrow Wednesday 25 January. While Paul Buckle is certainly a contender, Stevenage fans seem to think it will be Gary Smith who gets the job. They may yet be surprised.. ![Wink ;-)](./images/smilies/wink.gif)

He's not got it...

Looks like Bristol Rovers will be paying his wages for a bit longer.... What are the odds of him taking over at Exeter? Tisdale surely will move on in the summer, its pretty clear he's taken the scummers as far as they can go!
