Shirt sponsors

Post by AustrianAndyGull »

Just a quick post so that i may get some answers from the Gulls faithful out there. Just been sorting out the wardrobe and I have a home shirt from our last season in the BSP and the shirt sponsor is CITY LINK BUILDERS and not SPARKWORLD. Does anyone know why this is? It's not a dealbreaker but i would like to know. Cheers.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Yeah in our last season in the BSP we got a new sponsor deal with City Link. We kept the same home shirt but just changed the sponsor on it. If im correct i believe the sparkworld deal was finishing and city link offered more money. But the season after we took Sparkworld back. Was strange

This one is quite a sensitive issue, so probaly best not to go into much detail here, City link builders out bid Sparkworld for the shirt sponsorship when it was up for grabs at the end of Sparkworld's deal.

City link along with a lot of other building firms got into trouble doing this down turn or whatever they call it, and that company was closed, iam not sure that all loose ends were tied up with our club, thats why i think it's best left as the matter closed.

Cheers all. Does that mean we went grovelling back to Sparkworld after the Citilink deal was terminated and begged for forgiveness? I would like us to be sponsored by Paignton Zoo or something unusual like that. That would be great! For all the thanks i give Sparkworld for bringing money into the club, the sponsor is boring and the logo is plain boring! We need spice! :-D

The M.D of Sparkworld is a keen TUFC fan, and can be found standing on the popside at most games, i cant speak for him as i do not know the bloke that well, however i think they were quite happy to step back in.

On topic of shirt sponsors but the other one. Am i right in saying Vandanel is up at the end of the season. Or was it next season.
Just fancy seeing a new sponsor come along, as i know we had that deal with vandanel but was sure its finishing soon.
