That's memory again ... I get that problem regularly! 1996/97 Hereford bottom with 47 points. Brighton 23rd also with 47 points and these days would have gone down but only one down in those days. I think Exeter 22nd and us 21st. I believe the highest number of points gained by a team relegated to the Conference was 49, which is why we use 50 as a safety benchmark, although I stand to be corrected if not right.

Well they do say you lose 30,000 brain cells a day once you get over 30 so, at 53, I don't have many left so the old memory has failed again!! Where am I??? Who are you????

Our great escape season of 2006 saw Oxford relegated on 49 points , which i think is the highest points total for any side to be relegated on.

The next four teams above Oxford (including us) all on 52 points.
