Alan Hansen's on HOW MUCH?!!!!!

Post by AustrianAndyGull »

We all know that the footy pundits who work for the BBC are chugging along nicely on the gravy train but even i was staggered at what i read in the Daily Mail yesterday. He is reported to be on a salary of £40,000........PER SHOW!!!

For what?! This really is obscene and with the rumours of the FL Show being shelved there really is no excuse for it. I don't know what Shearer is on if Hansen is on 40k a show but if he were being paid in bags of maltesers it would still be too much for his banal drivel. Hansen is pissing himself, and it is us, the licence fee payers who foot the bill. i'd rather have more live football to watch on the BBC rather than listening to some decrepid, shrivelled up scot talk about the 'defending being shocking' on an all too regular basis.

I don't know what you guys think but i had no idea. If he does a show every week more or less then thats nearly 1.5 million quid a year just for sitting with a few blatant homosexuals and lambasting the defending abilities of Wigan.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Agree, this is an obscene amount and these ex-players must be laughing!

I tend to watch MOTD2 on a Sunday. It's a much better show and the presenters are way better than the Saturday bore-fest.
Mmmmmm, beeeeeeeer.

Nope. It said that he was currently on 40k a show and the beeb were renegotiating his contract so that he will be on a lesser amount. Something like £39k most probably!

Funny thing is, that 40k a week is probably at least what he'd be getting as a player in today's game.

"Captain Scarlett" on £40,000 per show ? Done well there, hasn't he ? What do Licence fee payers reckon of that ? -> :@

As it happens, "Captain Scarlett" is looking more like "Captain Grey" these days.

I'll talk bollox about 'shocking defending' and 'pace scares defenders to death' for £4000 a show.

Vote EmetEdadsBeard!!
