He's spot on today. Suarez is a disgrace. He really should have gone further and said Dalglish is a whinging 2-hat. None of whats happened today is Suarez's fault? You're having a laugh.

Suarez is a racist muppet. The guy needs to leave British football.

Evra not wanting to shake his hand I could understand, but the other way round? Makes no sense! I can understand he might feel agrieved at the ban and be unhappy with the FA for imposing it (with no basis IMO, but it's how he feels), but all Evra has done (it seems to me) is be abused and bring it to the attention of the authorities. Has Suarez thrown a paddy cos Evra told on him?

Today he had a chance to draw a line under the whole incident and move on from it, and he's been a dick about it. Nobody is going to be on his side and he is going to come out of this looking very bad.

Plus he's massively overrated and couldn't score in a brothel (Old Trafford is of course easier to score in than a brothel).

Yet Evra isn't a disgrace for running and celebrating right infront of Suarez at the end.

I don't like Liverpool or anything but Evras just as pathetic as Suarez, in my mind.

The way I see it Suarez had the chance to ease the tension between them. Instead he did the oppisite. I would of done the same if I was Evra, at the final whistle.

I'm not in anyway trying to defend racism, or Suarez. It was silly to ignore Evra, but for Ferdinand to get involved then for Evra to incite trouble at the end - a fine should be going his way, in my mind.

Evras a moron, hate the guy. The way he reacted both today and a few years back when he was apparently insulted by a Chelsea groundsman is pathetic.

I guess we'll have to disagree with you guys though.

I gave Suarez the benefit of the doubt but he was out of order today and after what has (allegedly) happened to his brother I can't blame Rio Ferdinand for being angry too

Sorry Nick, when this first came out we were on the same page but no longer. As for Evra, I'm not his biggest fan but the incident with the Chelsea groundsman, wasn't it someone in the crowd who complained, not Evra?

True, I guess I'm probably on my own here then

I just think that Ferdinand definitely didn't help matters, instead helping to stoke the feud, which was unneccesary.

As for Evra, it seems he started the thing with the Chelsea groundstaff..

I would expect a fine to go his way if the referee puts the bit at the end in his report, which I'm sure he will.

Pathetic behaviour all round, IMO.

Suarez behaved like to complete and utter tool today being honest, I am no fan of Evra, atleast he was man enough to hold his hand out and was prepared to shake the hand of Suarez.

Had Suarez shook Evra's hands the whole affair would have closed and put to bed, by doing what he did Suarez caused the problems at the end, if Dalgliesh had a half brain, he would told Suarez to shake hands .

Saustik karez is a poor human being. Evra reacated like he did because it was a in your face type reaction with his home fans. Can't blame him really. Saurez has a very poor history on the pitch for such a young player.

As fantastic a footballer he is equally a tw@.
I know evra is not the perfect man but most people would do what he did. As for Rio thing fully entitled to support team mate but also as a 'coloured' player why should he shake hands with a racist.

But hey in the words of Scott ratley 'everyone is racist, suarez is a legend.' So lets not be hypocritical, hey lads

I offer no excuse for the actions of Suarez - I agree with the severity of his ban and his actions yesterday failed to bring closure to this episode. I also feel that Liverpool FC and unusually Dalglish have called this wrong from the start. However, Alex Ferguson comments yesterday were stupid - he is in danger of looking rather selective in his views. As manager of MUFC, his comments about what LFC should and shouldn't do are far more likely to cause a riot than someone refusing a handshake.

Fergie has called for Liverpool to ensure that Suarez never plays for the club again. I'd be interested in hearing what action Fergie took when Scholes and Carroll refused to shake hands with Viera at Arsenal (under diferent circumstances and as far as I am aware not race related, but could have set off a riot eh Fergie??) The same Fergie who stood by Ferdinand after he missed a drug test under very dubious circumstances? The same Fergie who stuck by Roy Keane after he deliberately went out to and succeeded in ending the carer of Alfe-Inge Harland. The same Fergie who was fined by UEFA after some tongue in cheek / racist comments about Italians. At the forefront of LFC's mind will be the 20 million that they have invested in Suarez, in the same way the value of Ferdinand was a massive factor in how MUFC treated his indescretion. Again, the actions of Evra at full time (however justified) were far more likely to cause a riot than the one of Suarez. However, according to Fergie whilst Evra shouldn't have done it, it was apparently understandable in the circumstances. Complete double standards.

One minor issue illustrated here is the abject futility of the pre match handshake. As long as all players shake hands before the match we can all pretend that football today is played with great sportsmanship. Let's forget the fact that a minute later players will be diving to get free kicks, trying to get players sent off, managers brandishing imaginary yellow cards and players intimidating referees (something which United players have perfected under Ferguson). Even yesterday Rooney ran to get in the referee's face trying to get him to book Suarez after he kicked the ball away. I'm not a fan of any Premieship club and I am beginning to think football at the top level is in a real bad way. Fergie should concentrate on controlling his players. When he manages to do that, then he can start on those of other clubs. Referee's need to get micked up and take control of these over paid muppets when the slightest hint of dissent is shown.

I'll go against the grain here and say that Suarez hasn't done anything wrong. Yes he was found guilty of making a racist comment against Evra and clearly that is totally unacceptable and he has served the punishment given to him by the Premier League. However, the protocol of compulsory hand shaking as in the FA mandate is wrong IMO. If i were a footballer, there would be quite a few players that i wouldn't wish to shake hands with for my own personal reasons and as a strong willed, stubborn, opinionated bloke i stand by my principles and beliefs. Why should i (or Suarez) be forced to shake hands with people who are despised or not respected just because somebody else has told them to do so? So Suarez didn't want to shake the hand of Evra, so what? It's his choice. Yes it was the 'done' thing to do but he didn't want to do it. He hasn't done anything wrong. Another good example is royalty. I am a republican and if i met the Queen i would refuse to bow in front of her, i am her equal as a human being and find this repulsive. That would go against protocol but it is howi feel so i wouldn't do it. The worst person in all this is Dalgleish. His comments astounded me. Just accept it happened Kenny, say it was unfortunate misguided and issue an apology if his actions offended anyone and then move on. Don't act like a girl because it makes me feel sick and devalues you as a man. In addition i want to thank Hansen et al on MOTD for their insightful comments on the incident. 'it was unacceptable'. Cheers lads, really good to hear such important punditry.

P.S - Just had a thought so i'll add it. If Suarez agreed with officials before the game to shake Evra's hand then still went out onto the pitch and refused then he a complete clit and i condemn him as a man with no backbone. This is actually probably what happened sadly. If it were me i would have stated my intentions to NOT shake hands BEFORE kick off so that everyone knew where they stood and i would hope they would respect my wishes.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Says here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17004667" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; that he has assured officials he WAS going to shake hands, so he is a complete idiot for then not doing it.

Also, what did you want the MOTD pundits to say?
