i'm the only one making an effort here GG so don't laugh at my pathetic attempts! :red:

You do realise that we'll be here until i've virtually listed every football league club? :'(

I'll go for Wolves?
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

I wasn't laughing at your attempts Andy. I just thought it funny that you chose of all teams Rovers.
Things were starting to get warm but now you've gone for Wolves, it's gone a little colder and where are the others in this guessing game?

Surely can't be Doncaster? If it is then i'd be shocked as i was born and brought up around there (sadly) and never knew!

I'm a bit confused now GG. You say it's a league club and in the east and lower than Doncaster Rovers. That only leaves Bristol which i've said and Tranmere and Blackburn are in the west. Forest Green are a conference side so that leaves NO Rovers left?!!!! Help!

Hull Kingston Rovers. Craven Park is a current (rugby football) league club on east coast that has or had a greyhound track around it.
Old Craven Park where they played until 1989 was a owned and run as a greyhound stadium with HKR as tenants.
Doncaster RLFC also played at the Stainforth greyhound stadium in the 1990s following the Tattersfield Stadium sale, and started out life as a rugby league club at the long since defunct York Road greyhound stadium a stones throw from where I live.
Did I win the prize? :scarf:

Fortunately i was brought up in one of the more affluent areas of the town in Cusworth. Cusworth Hall and Country Park was virtually on my doorstep as was Sprotborough Falls and Locks. The Boat Inn at Sprotborough was a pub i used to frequent and i also used to play cricket for The Ivanhoe which is a pub in the village near the Falls. This was in the 80,s - 90,s. Most of Donny is a dump though and i thoroughly hate the place and only go back to visit me old ma!

Live in Scawsby, a stones throw from Cusworth park (although a lot of Scawsby now claim theyre in Cusworth for snob value) walk dog there every day. I also occasionally drink in The Boat Inn and have played cricket against Sprotborough behind the Ivanhoe, (had a massive argument with two of my teammates there one sunny afternoon, as we all had a couple of pints and were enjoying the beer so much non of us would pad up to bat, prefering to sit on the patio. Ended up tossing coins and I lost so had to go in at 8 instead of 10 despite all three of us being batsmen rather than bowlers!)
What street did you live on, Ive lived here since 1986? And are you going to Rotherham tomorrow? I am with the moustache and my best mate Randall (leader of the Time Bandits) :)

My mum lives in Scawsby off St Giles Gate in a cul de sac, i went to Saltersgate and Ridgewood schools and know the area like the back of my hand. Where in Scawsby do you live? I've actually probably passed you walking your dog as regularly still visit Cussy Park with my three year old and my mum, especially on the odd sunday. How bizarre is that? Two Torquay fans living in the same small village in Donny! I'm surprised you haven't seen me walking to the Aldi or Mark Jarvis with my Gulls shirt on.

St Leonards Lea. I'm a lifelong Wednesday fan, it was our kid who started looking for Torquays results when he was about 5 (its a long story of The Green 'Un, desperately wanting to learn to read and mis pronounced football teams) and it snowballed. First saw them at belle Vue in Jan 1996, the season they finished bottom and hes been a fan ever since (as well as a Wednesday fan).
I think I have seen you in the past as Ive seen a geezer wearing a Gulls shirt on the odd occasion.
(PS St Giles Gate is in Scawsby, not Cusworth. My wifes sister lives at No19 ;-) )
