Saturday's games - 31 March
More interesting if not vital games coming up this weekend, with some clubs fighting to avoid relegation and others pressing to win a promotion or play-off place. Here are the games:
Accrington...... v ....Wimbledon
Burton Albion.. v ....Crawley Town
Crewe........... v ....Northampton
Gillingham...... v ....Macclesfield
Oxford Utd..... v ....Morecambe
Plymouth........ v ....Bradford
Port Vale........ v ....Dag & Red
Rotherham...... v ....Hereford
Shrewsbury..... v ....Aldershot
Swindon......... v ....Bristol Rovers
Between now and the end of the season there are no easy games for any club. Every game becomes massively important and every result can have a crucial effect on teams' prospects. Swindon may have games in hand but they will be anxious to avoid slip-ups in order to maintain their top spot in the table. They are not invulnerable. The Gulls, having narrowly won their game away to Barnet last night, can relax to some extent over the weekend, as the pressure will now be on Crawley (at Burton, who beat Gillingham last time out) and Shrewsbury (home to Aldershot) to win their own games. Both are four points behind Torquay in the table. Draws in these games (unlikely but not impossible) would suit Torquay nicely. Crewe and Oxford will be pushing hard to secure a play-off place.
At the other end of the table, who cares, except that the Argyle v Bradford game is obviously of local interest, and I really would like Argyle to be with us in League One the season after next for two more decent local derbies, unless of course we achieve two successive promotions..!

Listening to Burton v Crawley on GullsPlayer, Crawley having more of the possession but done very little in terms of clear cut chances. Come on Burton!!!
