Steve Coppell
Steve Coppell has been appointed as D of F at Crawley. Unfortunately, he might well steady the ship.

True! He has no experience of football at this level.
Having looked over Crawley's messageboard last night, I was going to post something about the unrealistic expectations of their plastic supporters. Someone said that they wanted Mick McCarthy as new manager, another mentioned Steve Coppell. "Get real," I thought. Well it seems that money talks, no matter what your standing is in the game.
I have read rumours on various L2 forums that Creepy are to receive a points deduction; some say because of the Bradford scrap, others say for breaching salary cap rules. The latter seems more likely, and more deserving of censure. This might also explain the sudden departure of the fat crook - remind me when rats tend to desert a ship?

"Also, stands aren't sentient."

Apparently one of Coppell's best mates is on the board there and has been trying to get SC involved for a number of years. I suppose with evans gone the chance finally came about to do that.
