Which end does he stand at so i can go the other side? Who is the bloke anyway and why is he so vilified?
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Did so at Plymouth, he was two rows directly behind me. Didn't think it was that bad, maybe because it was pretty noisy anyway. Plymouth lot on their forum after that game reckoned it added to the decent noise coming from the away end. I'd rather that than have no noise at all, or would you rather Plainmoor be a library?
Overreaction in my opinion if you're going to boycott the game because some bloke's coming with a bell - just move away from him if you don't like it, simple.

I can confirm that I know both John Bartlett and Bruciesbootcleaner and they are not the same person.

With John Bartlett, what you see is what you get. With bruciesbootcleaner, sometimes it's fact, sometimes it's fiction and sometimes it's both simultaneously.

Please no :'( he bought it to plymuff and killed the atmosphere :/
every time he played it i couldn't here myself sing and i was about 20 people across from him so can't imagine how people felt next to him, when he rang it the singing would stop as no one could here themselves sing

he's proper old school i guess, from the days when you could shout what you wanted at who you wanted on the terraces!

yes hes probably a knob but the sound of that bell brings back so many memories for me as a kid on the old pop in the mid to late 70s that i think its a great idea to get him back, anything that cranks up the atmosphere has got to be a good thing

if you dont like it or him, then dont stand near him i guess he's still up the family stand end of the pop?
still keeping the faith

What are you on about? Plymouth away was one of the best TUFC away day atmosphere's I have ever experienced. Didn't 'kill the atmosphere' at all.

John Bartlett and his bell are part of TUFC legend for me. I wouldn’t want to stand next to it, but thanks to full mobility in my legs I don’t have to.

His politics, opinions and political correctness are his business.

Lighten up people...

Got to say, my first (and only) encounter of him and his bell was at Argyle, and I thought it was good.

The incident where JB told an unfortunate lady to F OFF back to the kitchen was probably the most unpleasent scene I've seen on the pop side for years. I'm still suprised it didn't end in violence. He was offering it to two or three people that day purely because he didn't want to do what the steward had asked him to do, hand over his bell.

Suprised at the club for this if it's true.
