Despite something that I said on another thread earlier, don't yet give up on overtaking Shrewsbury. Their position is due massively to their unbeaten home record (16 wins, 5 draws). After tonight, 2 of their 3 remaining matches are away, and their record 'on the road' is 8-4-9.

0-0 HT. Come on Vale.

I don't think we'd have been three up v Northampton if we'd played em tonight

I fear it's the playoffs for certain now that we've been ousted from autos at long last

it's so unfair, but at least we can take pride that we've not cheated or bought our way to success!

Crawley GD +25
AC Northampton GD -24

Nuff said!

Our goal difference (+16) reflects the lone striker system we have used so succesfully this year, but may well be the difference on the final day between Auto spot and Play offs....more twists and turns to come

Are Swindon having a wobble (where is Billy B these days - doesn't get on the bench?)

Unfortunately it would seem that the departure of that morbidly obese criminal from Crawley has had a positive effect on the players, rather than unsettling them.

Why, oh why does everybody expect us to drop points and neither Crawley or Shrews to?

Whatever happens tonight we will be equal on points with Creepy - all it will take is for them to drop points at any of their other games and we can overtake them again.

This is the unpredictable point of the season - nerves set in for everybody. Points will be dropped by the teams above us - of that I have no doubt. Who would have put Swindon down to be losing at half time tonight for example?!

Spot on Scott, this was excatly what I was expecting tonight, even though I hoped it won't, so come the weekend, it will be Shrewsbury, and Crawley who are their to be shot at, pressure all on them.

All along I thought that if Crawley were going to drop points, it would be away to Dagenham and Accy, and I still feel that will happen, nothing is over yet.
