Swindon Players on the Lash

Post by jonnyfive »

Looks as though a few of the Swindon lads went out on a bender after Alan McCormack fathered a new baby. PDC never one to mince his words; this is what he told BBC Wiltshire after last night's defeat:

"For the time that I am here, I will do everything for change. If I have to bring in all the youth team at Gillingham, then I will.

"I would have no problem bringing in 11 under-16s and let some of the players who played tonight have a treble session and not go out Saturday night, drinking until the morning.

"When I was young, every time I made an action, I made it my responsibility.

"I told them I would defend them if they behaved well. If you don't behave like a professional and you don't respect the shirt and you don't respect the club that pays you, you will not be under me."

Shame all this didn't happen 10 games ago!
"Also, stands aren't sentient."

Respect to the crazy Italian on this one, although he also said the youth lacked professionalism as well!

A sad indictment of our culture I'm afraid.
Mmmmmm, beeeeeeeer.

i applaud the italian one for his efforts and stance on this, but i'm guessing if any of his players have read his autobiography (assuming they can read), they may find his moral high ground somewhat hard to swallow given the things he got up to. still, rules is rules, and he is quite right to expect his players to obey them.

He's a tw@t. Sent sicknotes from Italy to Sheffield Wednesday claiming he was too ill to play, wouldn't see the Wednesday doctor and was traced by some hack drinking outside a cafe in (Turin I think).
Should've put the shat on SSP (£44 a week at the time) and seen how quickly his 'depression' cleared up.
Ruined SWFC with his pathetic antics and should never have played in this country again, but as we all know with footballers it doesn't work like that (Lee Hughes and Tony Adams are other cases to point).
I hate the man with a passion.
