Team of men beat team of Alice Bands
I don't watch footie much on the telly (especially the Premiership), nor am I a Bayern Munich fan, but I did watch the Champions League semi-final last night. What a game. A pleasure to see a team that looked like it consisted of real blokes, some bald, some ugly, beat the team of male models from Madrid. Schweinsteiger particularly made me smile. Half the Real team looked like they spend most of their waking hours advertising male hair products and cosmetics. But who scored the winning penalty? Schweinsteiger, who doesn't look like he could ever wear an Alice Band or advertise Gucchi face cream for men, I imagine he could aspire to advertise bags of gravel or other sundry DIY products though. You just knew he was going to score.
Indeed was one of the best games I have seen in a while, like Chelsea the night before 2 down and bayern never gave up.
The moment for me ,w as when that Basbauer lad got booked, saw the look on his face , was not sure whether he was going burst of crying, or run around the pitch randomly killing people.

Loved the Madrid player looking back at the penalty spot, hoping he had slipped, as his shot left the stadium!
Made oi larf!
The Germans were never going to lose a penalty shoot out, were they.

Good to see young Austrian starlet David Alaba flourishing in the Bayern side. We just need another 10 good players now and we'll win the next World Cup! IMMER WIEDER OSTERREICH!!
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.
Didn't Alaba give away the penalty? Classic clumsy Austrian...
Maybe one day, Carayol will find London...

Yeah Steve, he did give the penno away the clumsy sausage muncher! He's a good player though seriously. If you want clumsy Austrians then look no further than Emanuel Pogatetz ex Middlesbrough. He was a bloody liability! He used to play for Spartak Moscow and broke someones leg with an horrendously clumsy challenge many years ago. What an oaf!

Well Austrian you got a fantastic keeper in our bobby (lol) and that alaba. That alaba looks a fantastic prospect.
To be fair he did look a decent player bar that one incident. Admittedly i haven't seen a lot of him but he seemed the type of full-back that is better going forward than defending. Not a criticism, just seemed that way. As for Pogatetz, I hope he is good going forward cos he sure was terrible at defending!!austrianandygull wrote:Yeah Steve, he did give the penno away the clumsy sausage muncher! I was absolutely delighted to see Neuer save Ronaldos spot kick. I would love to be in Munich on the day of the final, I'd imagine it'd be an unbelievable atmosphere everywhere you go!
