Just been looking at some old postings about the stand. A quick question, has it narrowed Homelands Lane at the back?

Cheers

Good to know that the club are optimistic of us going up and making sure that when we sell out to away supporters we will get maximum income.

What would you rather have ? Seats going in at the other end first ?

Hopefully it won't matter a toss and all seats are in for the start of 2012/13. ;-)

Looks fantastic.

Not sure if I'm hugely fussed about the italic letters but it'll still be something to be proud of when it's done. Good work Mr Candy!

Went up to Plainmoor late afternoon today and Andrew Candy was kind enough to show me a close up view of Bristow's Bench. :-D

By next Thursday, Andrew reckons the seats "T" and "O" will be complete and possibly block "R" will be in progress.

The Grandstand is on schedule with completion in time for pre season friendlies.

By the look of it the italics are due to the seats being off-set against the row in front which will mean that you won't have someone's head directly in front of you when sitting in the Bench. Nice touch methinks.

On the whole I'm hugely impressed with the whole thing. I was always worried that whatever we replaced the Grandstand with would be the same size as the Family Stand or Popside and we'd end up with the Diva Stadium mark 2. Great to see a little ambition from the club.

Does anyone know what the new capacity will be?

Ahh, that would make sense for the italics, would be quite difficult to do it straight.

I think it's around 1,750 on the capacity, we don't really gain anything overall, maybe a couple hundred.

I'll ask again as nobody answered, has the stand pushed back into Homelands Lane thereby making it a bit narrower?

Cheers

I haven't been there to look, but I believe it was slightly but not by much.
